Jesus tells a parable to help us see the gracious love of the Father in the midst of our failures and fascades

The foundation of our language of prayer starts all the back in the Eden. When we pray we is speak in the language of prayer, once lost because of sin, now redeemed cos of Jesus.

We are a church who seek to practice tangible presence in our community, in Word and deed.

The christian life is a life of transformation - being continually transformed into the image of Jesus. We grow in the likeness of Jesus through beholding him, feeding on his Word and driving our roots deep into his community.

God has given us much and how we use what he has given us matters. He wants us to use what he has given us for his glory and our good and at the end of our lives hear 'well done, good and faithful servant'.

Where we know God is pressing on an area of our life, pursuing transformation in our lives, where we feel God is encouraging change and we are resisting - we are resisting the revealing of true beauty in our lives.

Take your sin seriously, plead for sinners around us and praise God that your sins have been atoned for. Exodus 32 is a stark warning to those who would want to entertain sin but it shouts hope to those who who seek to put it to death.

Stop running, stop trying harder, stop work to earn God's favour. Stop thinking you are enough. Come to Jesus and see that he has dealt with your sin once and for all and rest. We don't need to do more better. Ours sins have been paid for and the work of the cross is finished.

The deep, gut longing for home is found in Jesus. Jesus is our true home and we will continue to feel restless and feel the need to create until he finally welcomes us home.

All of the talk of blood in the the Old Testament is prompting Gods people. It's preparing Gods people for Jesus, who’s blood was shed on the cross for them and for us.
