It's happening. Finally. Alexander Isak will become a Liverpool player on the final day of the transfer window. Let's talk about it.

After a drab first half that failed to capture the imagination, Liverpool and Arsenal toiled in a close tie between the would-be title rivals. But it was Dominik Szoboszlai who dragged the reds over the line with a blockbusting free kick to seal the points for Arne Slot’s men with a win. It was a victory that maintains the Reds’ 100% start to the season heading into the international break.

There’s only one story dominating the football world - and that's the future of  Newcastle’s discontented striker, Alexander Isak. He's made it clear he wants out and Liverpool are all in, but Newcastle aren't ready to let go...yet. So what happens next? Who’s right and who’s wrong? And where will we be come transfer deadline day on September 1st?

In a match dubbed the Isak derby, Liverpool bagged a 100th minute winner to wrap up another three crucial points in their second game of the season. Arne Slot’s boys did their upmost to chuck away a 2 goal lead at a highly charged St James. But in the end, it was 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha who proved the difference, delivering a devastating finish, with the first Premier League shot of his career.
