Lewes Hunting Strategies

This week Levi and Wes talk about the incredible hunts he had last week. He also took a weekend trip with a couple friends. A few you all may know. That is the next podcast for when the come on. This will be a 2 part episode. I know myself cant wait for the full story.

This week Clinton and Wes talk to Luke. He is a local conservation officer. We brought him to talk to us on CWD and EHD. Just to spread some knowledge on it not only for us but also to you all as well. This was definitely a fun one. Its always nice to have these guys on.

This week we have a great guest by the name of Nick Martin. He is a very dedicated pheasant hunter who is challenging himself in getting one in all 99 counties in Iowa. Come listen to his story and journey. Cant wait to hear more from him in the future.

This week we have Joe Sullivan on. He has had a full year of hunting and he is just getting started. You can tell that he has a big passion for the outdoors. He is always a joy to talk to. He has great stories to tell from bird hunting, elk, white tail, and much more. So enjoy this one. We sure did.

Today Levi sits down with Colton Manning to discuss their duck season so far and some of the future hunts they want to go on for more birds besides ducks.

Tonight the boys talk about Wesley's hunt he had in taking a decent buck bow hunting. And mustaches.

This week Levi has finally convinced Wesley to go on his first duck hunt. It is hard for him to admit he was wrong on how it would be. They also bring Wesley's friend Tyson along for his first hunt as well. As you'll see in his voice he is speechless. It is in his blood now cant wait to see him grow threw out the years as a hunter.

This week we talk about our hunt that we both have had this morning. We also talk about somethings that have happened threw out the years of hunting that well gave us the "CREEPS". Hope you all enjoy.

This week we talk about the squirrel hunt that we put on this past Saturday. We had a amazing turn out this year. Biggest one to date. We also share a miss hap Wes had on public land while bow hunting and also of course a little bit of ducks.

This week Levi tells us about the weekend he had for the goose opener. He also shares a story that I think we can all learn from and just shows what some people are willing to do in pursuit of wild game we all love and know.

This weeks episode we are just relaxing and talking about the up coming coming season that is now just weeks away. We are more than ready for it to start and more prepared then ever this year.

This weeks episode Wes and Levi chat about the bow camp that Wes helped our friend Steph Lane with. Super proud of the ladies that were there. The short time I spent with them it was incredible to watch them grow with confidence. We also have a debate that is probably on alot of our minds about bow hunting and hunting all around.

This Clinton is back with us to talk about what he has been up to with getting his land ready for this years season. I hope with all of the work he has put in and Brittany as well that he is able to get the job done. He has been on the hunt for a older bigger buck so lets hope his work pays off and we can hear about it in the future.

This week we'd like to welcome back a guest we have had on a couple times Timmy. He talks about what he had been doin this year to get his land ready for the up coming season. Would also like to welcome back our co host Clinton Kenneth Manning the First. Its always a joy to sit down and talk with these two. Always seem to take away something new to think about.

This week we would like to welcome back one of our very first guests Steph Lane. She is the Iowa Program Coordinator for Iowa Outdoor Mentors. She helps kids get into hunting and women as well. She is a great inspiration to the hunting community in everything she does. Give her a listen to and learn how to get involved in this wonderful program.

This week we have Tyler Jones and his friend Joe Sullivan on to talk about the ins and outs of taxidermy. He is very knowledgeable in his trade and what he does. He is definitely a true artist of his trade. Cant recommend listing to this one enough on the preparation and handling of your animals before you go to Tyler or your local taxidermist.

This marks our 1 year anniversary of not only our podcast but 1 year to our followers listening to us. We just do a little reflection on our past guest that we have had on. Cant wait to see where we are at in a year and what stories we can bring you all this up coming season.

This week pretty excited about our guest Ben. He just got back from New Zealand where he hunted Red Stag, Fallow Deer, Tahr, and Chamois. Its always a pleasure listening to his stories he brings back with him. From helicopters to steep mountain climbs I really think you will enjoy this one.

This week Levi and Wes talk about their preference on using blinds, tree stands and a little duck and archery talk. Just us getting excited for hunting season being around the corner as we know you all are as well.

This week we talk about Levi's new puppers Daryl and how his training is going. We also just bs about our up coming squirrel hunt and everything else in between.

Today Wes is by himself just talking about some hunting memories from the past. Its a short one but a good one. Hope you all enjoy it.

This week Wes sits down and talks with Cory on being a archery coach at the local school. Also talk on another club he is a part of JaCo S3DA Archery Club. You'll find threw our conversation that he is more than just a coach. He has some great advise along the way and some pretty good stories on some kids that he has seen threw his years and just how archery can change one kid or even the ones...

Dan is a wildlife biologist who has been doing a study on turkeys the last 2 years in Iowa. He is on his 2nd year of a long 10 year study. He is very knowledgeable in his craft. We learned somethings today for sure. Cant wait to see his work threw out the years to what we can learn and what we can do ourselves to help the turkey population out and also grow.

After a couple week hiatus the man himself is back Levi. Today Levi and I talk about record turkey numbers taken this year in Iowa. We also talk about some gear upgrades we would like to improve on for this up coming season. Always nice to sit down and talk with each other with our busy schedules happing this summer.
