The wait is over. The NFL kicks off tonight and the Detroit Lions 2025 season is here. And it's about time. So in order to kick off the season, I brought in a good friend to talk about past Lions despair while enjoying the ride of Detroit's rise to top tier Super Bowl contenders. Enjoy the moment before the season begins.

The 2025 NFL Season begins this week. The Detroit Lions take on the Green Bay Packers meanwhile the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears go head to head. The NFC North is stacked and the margins are razor thin. Who will win the division this year?

The Detroit Lions initial 53-man roster and practice squad are set. Dan Skipper is back. We never needed to fear now did we? Just like Aragorn and company at Helms Deep - Gandalf was always coming back. The Detroit Lions set their initial 53-man roster at 50, added 2 defensive lineman and then set their practice squad bringing Jackson Meeks back as well.

2025 roster cuts have to be made as the Detroit Lions slim down from 90 to 53 men. The Lions have to be down to 53 man roster by 4pm today and have already cut Hendon Hooker and Dan Skipper. More to come. We will see. Sadness.

Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes of the Detroit Lions have to cut down their roster to 53 men by early this week. After yesterday's final preseason game against the Houston Texans, much has been solidified. It's safe to say that the Lions will be moving on from Hendon Hooker and others while some solidified their place on the squad.

There's so much to be said about the Lions vs Falcons preseason game. The best thing is that Morice Norris is stable. What a display of humanity. Rich Eisen just dropped his "A bit too early" power rankings for the NFL 2025 season and placed the Detroit Lions at 10. The teams that he placed above the Lions are not better than them heading into 2025. There is no chance. I love the man, but I can't agree here ‪@RichEisenShow‬

But Lovett is starting out hot and showing Dan Campbell and John Morton what he can do.

It is as we feared - Alex Anzalone and the Detroit Lions are at a contract halt. This is the first of it's kind under Brand Holmes and honestly - it's not welcomed. Anzalone is a pivotal player here in Detroit, and holding-in doesn't look great.
