Sabbath is one of the greatest gifts we have. Yet with sabbath comes the temptation to let it rule over us. To forget that sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. We practice sabbath and rest not because we’re required too, but because we were created too. We were created from rest, for rest. When we rest we are reminding our flesh of who we are and who we belong too.

Today we ready about Jesus healing the paralytic man and calling Levi to be His disciple. Both of them respond by jumping up, and standing up. Jesus invited them, and they chose to respond. They experienced healing and new life after they responded in faith. How will you respond to the invitations of Jesus today?

In todays stories we read of the miracles of Jesus. The healings, and the restoration. Jesus left people better than He found them! Will you?
