Let's Get Weirding: A Dune Podcast

Megan and Beau are back with Paul and Lady Jessica as they do a little camping, a little walking (with and without rhythm), attract a worm, and meet some new friends. Strange things are afoot in the deep desert! Also, what NOT to do at the theater! 

Megan and Beau have a quick check-in with Gurney Halleck to see how he's faring, and to talk allegiances, revenge, and the saddest baliset performance of all time! 

Beau and Megan are out of their Bindu suspension and feeling physically adequate enough to tackle this episode, wherein Paul and Jessica make a daring escape, have some setbacks, but learn a few lessons along the way. Follow us, and make sure you walk without rhythm lest you attract a worm. 

Megan and Beau are reluctant to step into the Baron's world again this week, so in addition to the chapter they discuss CATS, underestimating your enemy, and the best episode of X-Files ever. Plus letters! And don't forget to post your reaction Gifs to #firstlookatLetoII! 

Megan and Beau return to talk about tattoos, plans within plans, pregnancy hormones, and to send off everyone's favorite sex robot. RIP Duncan (v.1) we hardly knew ye. 

This week we continue our coverage of Book II: Muad'Dib with a peek at how Thufir is faring (spoiler alert: not great). We get a good look at how the Fremen operate en force and some of the embarrassing cultural oopsies on the way to alliance. Also, we meet the best character in the book, the spice-eyed messenger bat.

Megan and Beau are diving back into Dune Book II with special guest and Dune video game expert Alex Nee. This episode marks the return of the universe's surliest teen and most put-upon mother, with talk about the gadgetry involved in desert life, why Paul would be more chill if he just had some cake, and Michael Dorn! 

Megan and Beau are joined by friend of the show and Predict-O-Cast Co-Host Josh Hollis to talk Jodorowsky, Art vs art, and the three B's: Bogdanovich, Beefswelling, and Big Fairuza Balk Fans. Consider this your explicit content warning!     

Beau and Megan return with a second "mini" episode on the Dark Tower Book 1! This time be warned: Spoilers Abound. This is a deep dive into the movie and how it relates to the rest of the series as a whole, other Stephen King works, how this movie failed it's audience, and why Idris Elba was still great despite everything. Set your watch and warrant it. 

This week Megan and Beau begin their Dunecation with a look at another expansive, over-the-top SciFi/Fantasy/Desert-Dwelling book they love, The Gunslinger. The hosts talk similarities to Dune, overall themes, and spare plenty of time to complain about the movie. Here in Mid-World everyone is an archetype and nobody wins. 

Megan and Beau are back (with complete and normal audio) to discuss the LAST CHAPTER of Book 1 of Dune! There is a lot going on here but mostly Paul being a very, very shitty teen. This is a chapter that deserves it's own soundtrack. Due to technical difficulties that will become clear, Beau and Megan had to make this a short episode with the basic rundown of what happens in this chapter, which is a lot! The baron's arrival, Yueh's Fate, Duke Leto's final revenge. We'll be back next week with new equipment and the end of book 1! 

This week Doctor Yueh begins to suspect he might not be a good dude, we answer your questions, and have some major revelations about Space Doctors. 

This action-packed chapter starts off with a bang...ing talk about Kyle Reese in The Terminator! Beau has had it with Teenaged Messiah's and Megan has a lot to say about Folk Horror. Oh and Jessica is once again the biggest badass in the room and completely unappreciated for it. Also, we read your questions and attempt to answer them as best we can! 

This week Megan and Beau discuss the short but pivotal chapter eighteen. The Atreides traitor is revealed and Duke Leto gets some quick dental work. Megan and Beau talk bratty teen Heroes who treat their moms like garbage, why Lady Jessica (and Gabrielle Deschain) deserved better. Also cookies, toys, and more discussion about the Forsyte Saga that probably any other Dune Podcast! 

Megan and Beau are back to talk about a chapter that is almost as frustrating as it is satisfying.
