Let Your Journey Begin

Run straight into the arms of The Lord when you hear Him call! He will protect you in times of trouble. He will be with you through the storms of life.

God always answers our prayers. Sometimes it's yes while other times it's no! Most of the time for me, it's wait. Never stop praying! His answers are always for our good and for the good of His kingdom!

Just as you expect the sun to rise and the rain to fall, expect God to show up in your life. His promises are true and the scriptures cannot be broken!

Honi, the circle maker, is a marvelous story told to me by Mark Batterson and detailed in his book, 'The Circle Maker'. The story is a testimony of the power of one man's prayers that changed the course of history. Never underestimate the power of your prayers.

Typically our prayers are all about us. We start to pray immediately without waiting on the presence of The Lord. Wait on The Lord and when you come to the place of experiencing His presence, then speak your petitions. Pray with the expectation that He hears you and in His perfect timing, He will answer you.

When you read of all the strict rules and requirements in the Old Testament, you will come to realize these rules were set in place because God loves us! He wanted His chosen people to be set apart from the pagan nations that surrounded them. All because He cared so much about them. Just as He cares about us today!

Wisdom from heaven is pure, peace loving, considerate, full of mercy and sincere. People will know us by our behaviors. Let them see that we get our wisdom from heaven and not the ruler of this world.

The Lord is doing a new thing in your life! Don't look back! Let go of every stronghold in your life that is preventing you from becoming who He has created you to be! Your life is about to change. Do you not perceive it?

God gave Paul a thorn in his flesh to keep him from becoming proud and conceited. Sometimes a thorn in the flesh isn't a physical ailment but it can be a heartbreak or betrayal to bring you back to the Lord your God! Give thanks that when you are weak - God's strength will manifest in you!

In becoming more like Jesus, wouldn't our circumstances also need to be more like what He faced? If He was betrayed, why wouldn't we be betrayed? Doesn't trouble build our perseverance which builds character which leads to hope? Don't give up! Every trial will mold and refine us to become more like Jesus!

There are so many mysteries in the Bible and yet when you study the old and new Testaments, God will show you who He is!

I have prayed for people that I know I have hurt in my life. Perhaps someone out there is praying forgiveness for hurting me and for you. We must forgive as Christ has forgiven us.

To often, we strike out on a course that we have decided is best instead of following God's plan for our lives! Be sure you ask God before you make any decisions in your life! Follow Him for purpose, peace and joy!

We have all heard the argument that we are saved by deeds or by faith. When you have faith and follow Christ, you will want to do good deeds for the glory of His kingdom! Follow Christ and let Him change your life!

It is critical to this generation and the generations to follow that we stand firm on God's breathed Word on the page! False teachers surround us and have infiltrated the church. Get into the Word of God yourself so that you will know what is written and pray that He opens your minds and hearts to know the truth!

Being 'straight' is not a fruit of the Spirit - self control is. That same thought applies to sobriety or abstinence from smoking, pornography or extramarital affairs. Neither are fruits of the Spirit but self control is. Jesus can set you free from any sin in your life. What you cannot do for yourself, He has the power to do in you and for you.

My worship life has changed ever since I attended revival at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. I realized, through these young people, that we are not the audience in church. God is our audience. Is He pleased with our hearts and minds? Do we give Him our full attention in the service of worship and praise? Thank you Lord for showing me what true worship looks like! God wanted bitter herbs to be served alongside the lamb for Passover. He did this to remind us that there is no salvation without suffering. This is so true in my life. Only in suffering, betrayal, loneliness and pain did I find Jesus. When everyone walked out of my life, Jesus walked in. Pain has great value and God will use it to draw you even closer to His Son.

Revival not only consists of praise and worship; it also includes our turning from a life of sin! True revival leads to a transformed life. How blessed we are that Christ died to forgive us of our sins and welcomes us into eternal life!

The Lord is about to do something new in your life! Get ready! There will be no one and nothing to stop you! 

It is critical to create a quiet place to hear the voice of The Lord.  You may have to get up early or stay up late but find that place in your home, work or even in your car to be still and know that He is God.

Lord, church has always been about us.  Going forward, may it be all about YOU! Transform our hearts and revive our church!

It was a life changing experience.  We've had it all wrong.  Lord, revive our hearts.  May our worship always be about YOU! 

There is so much searching today for happiness in all the wrong places.  Come to Jesus and experience true peace and joy in your life.
