Let Your Journey Begin

Too many today try to live up to worldly standards and not the standards of The Lord.  Don't jeopardize your eternity by trying to fit into a culture that you WILL be leaving. 

Too many times we struggle with how we should live our lives. When the people came with that question for John the Baptist, his answer was simple and straightforward.  Here is what we should do.......

Praying for personal needs and desires is not a bad thing to do but how can we pray with Jesus instead of always praying to Jesus? What would Jesus have us pray with Him?

When you feel like you don't do enough or you're not good enough refocus your sight on Jesus! Learn to please Jesus and not your ego.  Only Jesus brings peace in your purpose.

Have you searched long enough for something or someone to satisfy your endless thirst? Come and meet my Jesus.  Only He can satisfy your every need and desire. Only Jesus. 

Satan loves to keep you busy fighting senseless battles.  In doing so, you can't focus on the work that God is calling you to do!  Ask God to show you where to put your time and energy! 

Some days the world seems so dark and in despair that I beg for Jesus to come back and soon! But, my sisters and brothers, justice is coming.  Do not give up hope.  God is still on the throne.  He is who He is and He will do what He says He will do! 

If we want to have more energy or be more knowledgeable about God's Word, we have to do our part! That might mean eating well, exercising and reading our Bibles on a regular basis!  Are  you doing your part?

I pray you have the opportunity to worship in truth and spirit in the simple surroundings of a barn. No fluff - just Jesus.  The way it should be and perhaps was in the early days of those who followed Jesus. 

We often wonder why we suffer and are put to the trial and test in this life.  And while we may not know until the trumpet sounds, we do know this:  God loves us and will never leave us! 

Jesus promised to never leave us but to send a Counselor - the Holy Spirit of God to be with us until He returns to take us home!

Sometimes another generation seems so far away even though they are standing right in front of us.  Pray God sends us into the harvest and gives us the words to say.

The daily stresses of life can wear me out. But, there is one thing that never wears me out and that is spending time with The Lord! 

All of us have faced a wilderness in our lives but God is true to His Word. He will never leave us and He will work all things to our good when we love Him and live to serve His purpose. 

Some people say they don't feel modern day praise music is 'praise worthy.'   I encourage everyone to try listening to the words of some of the modern praise songs today. They are spirit filled and can leave you feeling encouraged and hopeful again! 

There will be circumstances that occur on this earth that we do not understand but in any situation let it be God's will and not our own. 

In good times and bad, the church continues to baptize believers into the body of Christ! The church is the body of believers who was and is and is to come!

Blessings beyond imagination come when you surrender your life to the author of life! Let God continue to write your story!

In times of turmoil and distress in our country, we must continue to shine the light of Jesus! We must never stop praying to our Lord Christ to save our nation!

Anybody out there feel like they have had enough of a mean world? God knew we would struggle and he gave us wonderful examples of people and promises in His Word to encourage us in the days ahead! 

Sometimes we feel our work is in vain but when you are doing the work of The Lord, it will have fruit!  Don't give up!  Do your best because somebody may be listening!

We all bear the responsibility to maintain and preserve the earth and everything in it.  Are we each doing our part?

Who are the modern day prophets?  Are the ministers in the pulpit and on the television bold to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ?  Make sure you are listening to God's truth and not the 'false truth' of this world. 

Guard your heart can mean setting boundaries and protecting your space but it can also mean cleaning up your own actions and thoughts! Thanks to the preacher who opened up this word for me!  (And, I wouldn't have heard it - if I hadn't been in church!) 

Sometimes celebrations give us room for pause.  How many problems could we eliminate - even prevent altogether if we would follow God's commands?  When we don't, it's a slow fall from grace.
