Lessons from the bible

Life, circumstances, culture and even our environment sometimes put on us burdens that we never planned for or expected. These burdens leave us tired, worn out and stretched. But Jesus extends to you and I an invitation to rest and recovery. An invitation to show us how to take a real and authentic rest that propels us on the wings of unforced rhythms of grace!

Matthew 7:7-8 TLB “Ask, and you will be given what you ask for. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks, finds. If only you will knock, the door will open.

1 John 3:20 TPT "Whenever our hearts make us feel guilty and remind us of our failures, we know that God is much greater and more merciful than our conscience, and he knows everything there is to know about us."

The fact that you faced a challenge doesn't mean you are out of God's will. Challenges are part of life's journey but victory is the destination!

Psalm 42:1-2 TPT I long to drink of you, O God, to drink deeply from the streams of pleasure flowing from your presence. My longings overwhelm me for more of you! 2 My soul thirsts, pants, and longs for the living God. I want to come and see the face of God.

Romans 12:2 TPT " Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think.." Every lasting change starts by changing your thought pattern. You can't change the kind of fruit a tree produces without changing the roots!

Death came through sin and the cross has dealt with EVERYTHING related with sin including death. Though eventually physical death will be dealt with, every influence of spiritual death has been dealt with which includes sickness, poverty and our broken fellowship with God. As a believer, you have the right to resist every influence of death in your life

The church of Christ is the body of Christ. As members of the body, we all have a part we plan in seeing to the growth and building of the kingdom of God

Every vision/ dream requires resources...Human resources, financial resources and a strategic plan. Before you set out, let the vision be clear and deeply rooted in your heart so that when oppositions arise, you won't find yourself retreating!

Our responses to situations or reports are usually determined by what we truly believe. Is your response a response of fear or a response of faith?

Sometimes striking the rock may make more sense than speaking to the rock. The fact that you got results striking doesn't signify approval. Learn to follow the script!

2 Kings 4:2 NLT "What can I do to help you?” Elisha asked. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?” "Nothing at all, except a flask of olive oil,” she replied". The flask of oil that you think is insignificant could be the door to your greatness!

The level of your knowledge will limit the level of your experience. Your lack of knowledge in that area of your area is the lid to your rising. Get knowledge , get understanding...

You daily make decisions about your life and circumstances by the words you speak. Words are weapons, words are powerful! You are either creating or pulling down with your words. Choose right by speaking right!

Since our knowledge is limited, praying in our understanding is actually us short changing ourselves as believers. When we allow the Holy Spirit pray through us, he takes hold with us against our weakness and limitation and aligns us with the will of God.

Acts 1:8 NKJV - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
