Lessons For My Kids
For years, I’ve been collecting articles, quotations, ideas, suggestions, and life lessons. The number of articles, books, and scraps of paper began to grow, as there are a lot of credible experts and so much good information available (as well as a lot of bad information).I believe the true lessons kids need to learn include being grateful, showing kindness, volunteering, as well as how to be productive in life. These lessons are being lost in all of the noise. Kids need help to navigate the information. They need inspiration. Disclaimer-ask a professional for financial and medical advice.

LFMK - Helping others, others helping us 06.03.2020 13:32
Helping others makes us feel good inside. It follows the old adage, "It's better to give, rather than receive". When we help others, we may not want something in return. Our souls get a little sunshine. On the flip side of this, to be successful in life we also need to receive help. No successful student, athlete, musician, inventor, or business person makes it to the top without help or others be...

Today we talk about achieving success through practicing, preparing, and persevering. An actor, athlete, job candidate, employee, or student can not find success without preparation. Athletes must practice, learn plays, work with teammates, and create muscle memory. Students take c...

LFMK - Soft Skills 23.01.2020 12:01
Today I'm focused on "soft skills". Society is so connected to cell phones, television, video games, and apps. We have forgotten our soft skills. This is not just face-to-face communication, but also talking within groups or writing thank you notes. These soft skills translate into all relationships; family, friends, siblings, as well as co-workers and customers through our work. Soft skills are e...
