As the hour approached for Jesus to be crucified he gathered with his closest friends. He went to the garden. He cried out to God. Then, he faced the ultimate act of love: laying down his life for those that he loved. Josh Thomas looks at how God intervened for you and for me.

We all try to get it right, right? This week Josh is looking at how people have tried to live the right way but we will discover that it never quite works out.

This week we are looking at the agreement between God and humanity aimed at restoring the relationship that was broken.

Last week we looked at how God created an amazing world. This week we are looking at what went wrong because it is not hard to see that what we experience now is not what was described in Genesis 1-2.

As Josh starts our new series, God's Story, we are going back to the  beginning: Genesis. God creates… but what does this mean to us now?

Josh looks at how we express ourselves as a church,  focusing on the vehicles that we use to make a difference in our  community and support the local church.

This week we are looking at love. Josh has a question that defined Christianity in the past. And, if we allow it to, can define us again in the 21st Century.

Someone said that joy, the way Jesus intends we experience it, is not so much the giddiness that goes away when circumstances are tough, as it is the ballast that keeps a ship stable and upright in the water even in a storm.

In many cultures the word Peace means the absence of war. But the Peace we celebrate in the Advent season is about more than that. Advent Peace takes what is broken and restores it. We look at Peace (Shalom) in the Old Testament and Peace (Eirene) in the New Testament to see just what true peace is. 

This Sunday sees the start of the Advent Season when we prepare for Christmas Day through the lenses of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. These things have taken a bit of a hit this year for many people.
