Today, April 14, we celebrate the 113th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic with our good friend and resident Titanic enthusiast Nathan Tehrani. We go over the books "A Night to Remember" and "On a Sea of Glass" as well as discussing differences in the event as opposed to the 1997 blockbuster "Titanic."

Welcome to Season 2 of Les Incompetent! Our topic for this season is Pirates and we are starting with a book that covers all of the major points, and is a spectacular read; "The Wager" by David Grann. We will be covering the creation of the boat, the state of the Royal Navy, and the Prize of all oceans. We both cannot recommend this book enough. 

Our last episode on the topic of Napoleon, we cover Ridley Scotts 2023 historical epic exclusiviely on Apple TV, "Napoleon." Starring Joaquin Phoenix as our French Emperor, it retells various moments of his life while also digging into to him as a figure of history. In some ways, it works, and in other ways it really turned both of us off. We can honestly label this a movie of all time. 

This week on Les Incompetent, we conclude Andrew Roberts book "Napoleon: A Life" by covering the end of his empire, his reign and his life. We cover his return to French soil, we cover the failure of Waterloo, and his permanent exile to St Helena that leads to his death.
