Off-Duty Deputy Convicted for Unlawful Stop of On-Duty Cop 20.01.2026

An off-duty Wayne County (Michigan) sheriff's deputy was pulled over in an unmarked car while driving in Oakland County (Michigan) by a local city police officer. A man in North Carolina found out that his lottery prize of $800 was taken by a county which claimed he owed them money - and it turned out that the debt was in someone else's name - but by someone using his social security number.
