Wounds in the Church are detrimental to the whole congregation, not just to the people involved. Dealing with church hurt requires repentance and forgiveness. The two must go together so that the enemy does not win through the disunity of the church. Jesus is interrupted by people across all social and religious hierarchies. He makes time for the hurting and responds to their faith. People are hurting. The believer cannot follow Jesus’s example and be unwilling to respond to those who reach out for help - even when it is inconvenient to our schedules or ideologies.
