As he finished his letter, James had one last request of the believers and us... Pray for each other! This week we look at how to apply what he asked of us.

We are to live a life of patient faith even in the midst of suffering. How does our understanding of who God is and of His character impact our faith?

We live in an age where anything we want is at our fingertips. Even the "poorest" among us have more than so many historically. In a time of unprecedented wealth, how do we guard our hearts against materialism? How can we put pride to death within us and fully rely on God?

We all like to have control, right? We like to make our own decisions and chart our own course in life. But, is that scriptural? We look at James chapter 4:13-17 this week and see that, while proper planning is prudent, we might need a shift in our perspective.

Today we continue our series in James as we see the importance of the attitude of our heart towards God and others. Too often, we desire what we want rather than God's will. It's time to humble ourselves, surrender, and submit to God.

There are two kinds of Wisdom, which one do you have?

"Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but..." You know how the rest goes, but that just isn't true. Our words have power and meaning, and what comes out of our mouths reflects what is in our hearts. James chapter 3 reminds us of the difficulty and importance of controlling what comes out of our mouths.

This week we look at James 2:14-26 and seek to answer the question, “What role does works have in the Christian life?”. Join us as we walk through this often misunderstood section of James.

People are the mission, not a means to an end. As followers of Christ, we should see others the way God sees them and treat others the way we would want to be treated.

We can't just be hearers of the word; we have to put it into action.

This week we will explore the challenges of trials and temptations and how Christ wants us to grow in our reliance on Him as we walk together through the refining fire.

Today we will begin our journey through the Book of James, one of the most fascinating and impactful books in the Bible, full of wisdom and practical advice for every follower of Christ.

This week we bring our series "Asking for a Friend" to a close with the question, What happens when we die? Join us as we look at what the Bible says.

Have you ever been asked a question about what you believe and found yourself answering, "Because the Bible says so?". Do we have to accept the Bible on blind faith, or are there good, logical reasons to believe that the Bible is God's Word, is trustworthy, and hasn't been changed over the years? Today we continue our discussion on another hot topic in our culture today, gender/sex. With so many voices speaking today on the topics of sex and gender, how can we know what God wants? We must look to His word for the truth we need to navigate the times and to share Christ with others in love.

Too often, the busyness of our lives keeps us moving at such a pace that we don't stop and ask deeper questions of ourselves. But those big questions are there, just below the surface. Questions like, "Where did everything come from?", "What is the purpose of life?", "Does God exist?", "What happens when I die?" and so many others. The world offers so many conflicting answers to these questions. Jesus alone is the source of life and has promised eternal life to anyone who trusts in Him. Even though we may die, the believer shall live in Christ alone, our resurrection and life.

We continue our series “I Am” based on the seven I Am statements of Jesus with a look at, “I am the way, the truth, and the life”. What about other religions? What about those who have never heard about Jesus? Surely, Jesus isn’t being this exclusive….or is He?

"I Am the True Vine," Jesus said, and we must abide in Him to bear fruit. For without Him, we can do nothing.

This week, we continue our "I AM" series by looking at John 10:11-18, where Jesus says, "I Am the Good Shepherd." What does that mean? What does it say about Jesus? What does it say about us?
