Why are you here? What does your heart beat for? What does God have in store for your life? What does He want to accomplish through you? God desires to use us to do all  kinds of good works that He has prepared in advance for us to do. But first we need something that only Jesus can give us: grace, faith, life!

In the natural world, from plants to people, healthy things grow to maturity.  In the spiritual realm things are no different.  Those who have experience the new birth through Jesus Christ begin a lifelong journey where the growth never stops.  This week, let's take a look at what it means to grow!

Some of the world’s most successful people have been men and women of great purpose. Yet, did you know that the Creator God has an awesome plan and purpose for your life?

It's not by chance that Jesus begins His teaching from the Sermon on the Mount with the promise of blessings. To be sure, God desires that each of us experiences a blessed life, meaning a life to be envied, desired, and longed for. So, where do we sign up?

Jesus came to set us free by His redemptive work!  He is our hope!  He is our joy!  He is! His grace is amazing.

Did you know that the Creator of the universe, the One who created all things and by whose hand everything holds together, has a wonderful plan for your life? You and I make choices each day that have a positive or negative effect on God’s plan being fulfilled. So how available will you make yourself to God in this year?

For some, the days leading up to Christmas are an opportunity to begin the great shopping quest, to shop till you drop. However, more importantly, Christmas is a reminder that Jesus came to provide us something that cannot be purchased.

Last week we examined how God makes beautiful things out of dirt.  Out of the dirt of our sin God's mercy and grace extend to forgive, and transform us into something new, something beautiful.  This week, we want to see how we are forgiven to forgive.

Where would we be without the amazing mercy and grace of Jesus?  We would be lost, dead in our sins.  For those who have trusted in Christ, we have experienced the cleansing flow of His rivers of mercy and now swim in an ocean of His grace.  Today, let's be reminded by the wondrous truth of Christ's forgiveness and how a forgiven heart is a free heart!

There are more than a few references in Scripture to eating and feasting and celebrating with good food. This morning, we’re going to take a look at a meal time event that took place on the banks of the Jordan River, one that will challenge us to see those around us in a whole new way.

The Church has been given an awesome mission. One that is impossible apart from the power given to us by the Holy Spirit. We have been commissioned by Jesus to share the Good News and to encourage one another in the faith. Today we will continue our journey through Acts and see how our spiritual ancestors rose to the challenge. We are compelled to follow their example!

Don’t you love it when someone tells you exactly what you need to hear at precisely the right moment?  That timely word is truly refreshing to our ears.  We all love to receive such blessings. Sometimes, though, we are called to be the speakers of those timely words, and no word is as timely as the Word, the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Let’s get ready to speak His truth!

Whether through His written Word, or a whisper from the Spirit, or through the circumstances in which we find ourselves, God is always speaking to us and seeking to draw us closer to Him. During the months of May through July, we were bombarded with news stories about the divisive issue of racism in America. The reason racism continues, the reason Congress nor the President of the United States will ever be able to fix it is because racism is a condition of the heart, and only Christ can change a heart.

Today we will consider the conversion of Saul as we witness the start of his powerful transformation from Saul, to Paul.  We will see how the conversion of this “chief of sinners” gives everyone hope.  No one is beyond the reach of the amazing grace of our savior, Jesus.

Thought much about water baptism? It was exemplified and commanded by Jesus, and it was taught and faithfully practiced by His followers throughout the early Church.
