Tonight we ponder the wonder, mystery, and majesty of that “Silent Night” two thousand years ago. Let us worship the One who was born the Holy Infant so tender and mild, but now rules and reigns as Savior, Lord, and King!

Our Christmas series, Carols of the King, continues as we look at another aspect of the Christmas story through the lens of God's word, highlighting lyrics from some of the most beloved carols of all time. Today we will look at a carol that is a profound prayer of longing. It is a heart’s cry for the coming of Christ, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.

Today we begin our Christmas series, Carols of the King. Each week we will look at another aspect of the Christmas story through the lens of God's word, highlighting lyrics from some of the most beloved carols of all time. We begin today with a carol that asks an inescapable and profound question that each of us must answer, What Child is This?

The world today needs a fearless church. The next generation needs the example of godly men and women willing to stand for truth. What are we doing to pass the torch to the next generation? How can we lead others to live fearlessly for Christ?

As followers of Christ, we are called to live as light in a dark world. How do we stand for God in a world that rejects Him?

How do we deal with worry and anxiety? When things aren't going right, and we don't know how we can make it, will we worry, or cast our cares into Christ's hands?

Where do we find our identity? Is it in what we do or what we have? Is it found in our race, culture, or sexuality? Our culture is having an identity crisis. The Bible teaches us that you and I can never know our true identity apart from Jesus Christ.

What are you afraid of? Is it always wrong to fear? How can I overcome fear? This week we begin our new series, Fearless and we will see that we are called to put our faith in Christ in the face of fear.

An enemy of the church, this man was arrested by the presence of Jesus on the road to Damascus and nothing would ever be the same. His was a life of trials and suffering, but also great victories. God still reaches out to the lost and can change the world through a life yielded to His Kingdom.

At a young age, this man had conquered a giant and become a king, with God's help. His fame and success led him to temptation. Though he stumbled and fell into sin, through confession and repentance God restored this man again. God is still in the business of restoring the broken giving them a heart of worship and praise.

In a land where many had rejected the Lord, God would take a fearful man and raise him up to be a mighty warrior. God still helps us overcome our fears to boldly do His work in a land opposed to Him.

A life of advantages and education left this man empty. Longing to help his own people he took matters into his own hands with disastrous results. But God had big plans for a man humbled by the desert life of a herdsman. He would be raised up to lead a nation from captivity to freedom. God still uses those that humbly surrender to His will, regardless of their past.

A dreamer is betrayed by his brothers. Sold into slavery, his life seemed to be over. But, God ordered the steps of this man who chose to honor God and took him from a prison to the palace. God still uses those who walk in obedience to do great things.

Far from home and family, one man believed God's promise for the impossible. Through many ups and downs, God used this ordinary man to change the world forever. God still uses those who walk by faith and not by sight.

Preparing for the storms of this life is a serious matter. Storms will come. As our series, “Storm Proof” comes to an end, we are reminded that Jesus is the one who still speaks, “Peace! Be still!” We have seen that when the storms of life rage, God is more concerned about our character and holiness than our comfort and happiness. As our series Storm Proof continues, we have seen that God is with us in the midst of every storm of life. He never leaves us. He is building within us Christ-like character, and He is giving us the faith we need to move in spite of our doubts.
