LaxFactor Podcast #69: Syracuse Lacrosse Scrimmage vs Vermont/Hofstra Discussion 29.01.2020

I was in the house for the Syracuse/Vermont/Hofstra scrimmage on Sunday and we have some highlights and commentary on how it went. The scrimmage was closed to the public, and Hofstra was was closed to everyone. They opened the doors for the media for the Vermont tilt and it was great to get to see Syracuse in action for the first time this spring. *Watch On YouTube* https://youtu.be/uqmSE3gDGBU *S...

LaxFactor Lacrosse Daily #005 (1.24.20): Syracuse Hires Tommy Costanza As Volunteer Assistant To Replace Donahue 24.01.2020

While I'm sad to see Kevin Donahue leave the Syracuse program after having been a soldier for our cause for countless years, I'm also excited about this new Tommy Costanza hire.  The guy is dripping in Upstate NY swagger juice, he's connected all over to high school coaches, college coaches and parents thanks to his ties to the Sweetlax program as one of the directors and coaches.  Even...

In this episode of the LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast (#68) we will talk 2020 previews for North Carolina, Jacksonville & Navy.  The three teams had a scrimmage this past weekend so it only makes sense to preview all of them in one shot. Jacksonville went up early on UNC and defeated the Heels, Navy beat up a bit on Jacksonville, and UNC beat Navy, so it was up and down for all three teams, b...

Johns Hopkins Lacrosse News: Jack Rapine Will Not Play In 2020 (LaxFactor Podcast Lacrosse News) 19.01.2020

It was announced on Friday night, first by College Crosse, and later by Ty Xanders of Inside Lacrosse that Jack Rapine, supposed to be senior defender for Johns Hopkins in 2020 will NOT be playing in the 2020 season, and all indications are this is it for Rapine at Johns Hopkins. LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #66: Tewaaraton Finalist Favorites For 2020 Lacrosse Season 03.01.2020

In this episode of the LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast (#66) I discuss the five guys that I think will end up getting named the 2020 Tewaaraton Award Finalists. There are a lot of guys that will be considered and on the "watch list" as the year goes on, but these five guys I feel have the best shot at being named "Tewaaraton Award Finalists" by the years end. Only five players get the honor leading up...

LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #59: Pat Spencer Will Be Impossible For Loyola To Replace 02.11.2019

The Loyola Greyhounds had a good run with Pat Spencer suiting up for them between 2016 and 2019. Over his career, he put up 149 goals, 231 assists and 380 points. Add to that a Tewaaraton Award in 2019, and one of the truest statements on earth is that “Pat Spencer will be impossible for Loyola to replace”.

LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #58: Ryan Conrads 2019 Lacrosse Season Was One Of The Most Impactful Of All Time 26.10.2019

Ryan Conrad in my opinion was the most valuable player in all of college lacrosse in 2019. His stats were off the charts in so many ways. He put up 31 goals and 49 points on the season. He picked up 95 groundballs, that's insane. Virginia doesn't win a national championship in 2019 without Ryan Conrad on this team. It's that simple.

Host of ReLAXin' with Pcarc host, ESPN broadcaster, former Syracuse All-American, National Champion, and all around good guy Paul Carcaterra was kind enough to grant me an interview this week.

LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #53: Syracuse Lacrosse Podcast, Denver vs. Syracuse 2019 Fall Scrimmage 09.10.2019

Syracuse hosted Denver at SUNY Cortland this past weekend, and we'll talk about it in the first ever Syracuse Lacrosse Podcast #1 and this episode will double as the LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #53 as well so that I could work some other random fall ball action into the end. In the actual scrimmage, we saw the return of Tucker Dordevic, as he scored the games first goal (finished with 2 on the day)...

LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast #51: PLL Championship Recap & WILC Semi Recaps 28.09.2019

I'm late to the party, but the PLL Championship game was played, and was awesome, seeing the Whipsnakes drop the Redwoods thanks to some Matt Rambo heroics. The World Indoor Lacrosse Championships have reached the big game, Canada against the Iroquois Nationals for all the marbles. The Iroquois dropped the US 9-7 in a close game, and Canada merked England in their semi 21-4.
