The work isn't done after the Lakers were able to land Deandre Ayton. Anthony explains what the Lakers are up to now by way of some questions from the live audience.

We obviously wish we had more action to talk about, but we cover a Rob Pelinka-led Lakers team. So here we are.

Anthony narrates the piece he wrote yesterday about Deandre Ayton and why he's available and his options in free agency, then offers up his thoughts on the conflicting reporting out there about what Ayton will look to do.

Anthony's reporting on Dorian Finney-Smith's departure made some waves (and ruined his mentions/DMs). After a nice, long day of those mentions being a tire fire, Zach Lowe (The Ringer) indirectly confirmed what he was talking about. The guys talk about that report, and Anthony makes yet another plea for people to just treat each other better.

The guys use process of elimination to explain why Anthony thinks it's more likely than not Ayton winds up with the Lakers.

Anthony takes you inside that decision, the Dorian Finney-Smith player option situation and Austin Reaves turning down the max extension the Lakers knew he was going to turn down. He also updates you on the latest surrounding Andrew Wiggins trade negotiations.

Jut before he went live, Anthony wrote up about a rumors he's talked about before. People he's talking to say the Lakers and Heat have discussed a Rui Hachimura - Andrew Wiggins swap. He talks to Brian about this, the trade parameters and the boxes this would check.

After talking to Raj yesterday about his expectations for tonight, Anthony asks Brian Kamenetzky for his and got a very different answer.

Anthony has gathered over the last couple days that the coaching staff is mostly going to remain intact. He offers up what he knows, then expands into a larger discussion of how the transition of power will probably go over the next year or so.

So, Anthony and Raj don't know very much about the actual player who might get drafted tonight. What the do know is what the Lakers need to accomplish and when they'd prefer it get done. So, they use that information to lay out their baseline expectations, their hopes and their concerns heading into the busiest night in the sport.
