Christopher Bullmer hosts this Open-Mic from late 2000 or early 2001. Featuring a variety of poets and musical performances by Stacy Kovach and Charlie Burgess.

It’s an atypical all dude slam, with John Uramkin, Andrew Burd, James Dixon, and Uncle Drach. Hosted by Chris Bullmer, with special musical guest Michell Peters.

It was S.R.O. at the Kzoo Slam Finals in 2000. This week’s episode includes a truly eclectic group of poets, as well as tunes from Brook Pridemore and Charlie Burges, and a last minute featurette from mystery poet Craig ?? 

No feature poet for the 3 rd round of the 2000 semi-finals, means you get the Open-Mic and Poetry Slam in one episode. . . Along with guest host Jeff (What's his name??), some tunes from Brook Pridemore, and lots of great poetry.

This is the 2 nd round of the 2000 semi-finals. The slam competition is bookended by our special guest, Eitan Kadosh, who performs the “calibration/sacrificial poem” and the encore.

Each year in April (National Poetry Month) the Kzoo Slam held its tournament to determine which four poets would represent Kalamazoo at the National Poetry Slam. This is the open-mic portion of the first round of semi-finals. Tracey Smith hosts. Performers include: Charlie Burgess, Sean Shae, Melony, Teresa, Nichole, Sharon, Matt and John.  

“LOOK, UP IN THE SKY, IT’S A BIRD, IT’S A PLANE, IT’S A BAD MUTHA. . .”  This episode begins with the second half of Jason, Tara, and David’s feature set, followed by the poetry slam: hosted by Chris Bullmer, poets include: Karrie, Bill, Melony, Brian, Sharon, James, Sam, Dan, and Mark.  

National Poetry Slam champion, Jason Carney & Tara Seth pick up Providence poet David Blank and make Kalamazoo the last stop on their ’99-2000 national tour. This is the first half of the show before our semi-finals to pick the 2000 Kzoo Slam Team. Poets in the open-mic include: Drach, Chris, Sean, Aaron, Karrie . . .  

Part 2 of the Kzoo Poetry Slam from February 2000 includes the second half of Charlie Burgess’s feature and the poetry slam competition. The show is hosted by Chris Bullmer, and features poems by: Sean Shea, Dawn Saylor, Karrie Waarala, Todd, Chris, Erin, Nichole and Dan. . . not necessarily in that order.
