Knowing God With Heart and Mind
Our fundamental goal is ”knowing God.” The essential assumption is that the Bible is God’s message to humanity so that God will be known and loved by God’s Creation. The Bible is sufficient in and of itself, so that thoughtful study of it will lead to ever-increasing intimacy with God. Each week we’ll endeavor to engage Scripture and tradition and to bring them into our present reality. Since I am a working pastor I will use the same sources for this podcast that inform my weekly preaching and teaching duties. These days I am drawing upon the Revised Common Lectionary. This examination of the...

Reversing Babel - 11:00 06.06.2022 26:57
The story of Babel profoundly expresses sin’s power to separate humans from their Creator and from each other. After the fall of Adam, humanity fell prey to the corruption outside Eden and under the rule of Satan and his subjects. In time, the LORD fulfilled the Old Covenant through His Son, the Messiah, and introduced a New Covenant that reversed the curse of Babel. For The first time since the f...

The Family of God 29.05.2022 20:05
The Christian family of God is more than a group of friends and relatives who go to church together. It is a bond of love that comes from God to each of us and spills over so that we are all bathed in grace from above. Also, the LORD lives in each of us who is born again in His Spirit. The same new life force inhabits each of us so that our nature is the same, but different. Like siblings with uni...

Light of the World 23.05.2022 32:23
The Kingdom of Christ exists in the heart of every Christian Believer. The river of life and light flowing from the throne room of the LORD radiates in the lives of Kingdom citizens. Knowing this, you can seek first the Kingdom of Christ in all your affairs. Here's a wild idea; If a certain town was entirely populated by Christian Believers, it would be a city of God or a Kingdom outpost, since it...

Baptism of the Spirit 16.05.2022 28:47
The earthly expectations of baptism sometimes divide Christians and thus they cannot experience its most precious nuances. They drown in the debate over water and cannot emerge alive anew in the Spirit because of dogmatic traditions and ideologies. We're talking about baptism this weekend and you'll be glad you joined us.

A Gospel For Everyone 09.05.2022 24:12
There is an outside force at work in the unbeliever’s hearts that prompts them without coercion to consider the gospel. The same Spirit of God’s grace ties believers and unbelievers together. This week we will witness this as Peter obediently responded to sanctifying grace and the unbelievers he encountered prevenient grace and the LORD was glorified.
I Love You Lord 02.05.2022 21:18
The redeemed, with eyes opened by the gift of the Spirit, see God’s plan and strive to join Him in its execution. Before, they prayed for God to endorse and empower their own plans. When the Lord says, “None of this will go the way you think it should… Are you still with me?” If He asks you three or more times, will your last reply be more emphatic than the others?

“My Lord and My God!” 25.04.2022 28:47
Do you believe that Jesus really arose from the dead? Is the concept of resurrection hard to understand? Who is "Doubting Thomas" and why does he get a bad wrap? If Jesus really is alive today, what proof can you give? Join the Shiloh family this Sunday to consider these questions, sing, pray, worship, and be together.

Resurrection 17.04.2022 25:08
He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! Once again, we will gather to celebrate the greatest news of all time. The resurrection of our Lord Jesus is a miracle without equal. Though He was dead and buried, He arose by His own hand. Though He was condemned for our transgressions, He broke the bonds of Hell to set us free. Though He was treated as a common criminal, He emerged as King of all Creation. We ar...

The Passion of Our Lord 11.04.2022 43:08
It is Palm Sunday once again and the start of another Holy Week. This Sunday, we remember the passion of our Lord even while small groups, classes, and individuals wrap up the Red Letter Challenge. The RLC taught us how to listen to Christ’s words and apply them to our spiritual journey and daily interactions. Now, we will begin a week of intense focus upon what the Lord Jesus has done for us.

The Red Letter Challenge: Going 04.04.2022 38:49
As we wind down the Red Letter Challenge and consider the 5th discipleship practice most often cited in the words of Jesus. So far, we talked about being, forgiving, serving, giving, and now, going. The last discipleship precept, going, is the toughest for about 90% of us. Going requires faith, courage, and discomfort. This Sunday we'll talk about going wherever He sends us, and going away from w...

The Red Letter Challenge: Giving 28.03.2022 27:42
Giving, like forgiving, is ultimately about letting go of your sense of entitlement. When you shift your focus from yourself and everything you want and need, it’s like changing your point of view after always looking at something familiar from the same vantage point. Reframing your life to be a disciple and servant of Christ will cause you to be more generous. The amazing thing about it is that i...
