A Minnesota basketball legend is taking the reins of the St. Thomas Academy boys basketball program. Khalid El-Amin was announced as the Cadets' new coach Thursday. El-Amin led Minneapolis North to three state championships during his high school.

MPS along with 80% of school districts across the nation, is facing a serious shortage of bus drivers. MPS currently reports the needs for 50 more bus drivers in order to be able to provide timely bus service on their bus routes.
