Exodus 32 is the story of the golden calf and the return to idolatry. We also make progress in 3 steps forward fashion.

Luke 2:21-52 continues the story of Jesus and his family - especially his mother, Mary. Included are readings from children and a song by men's chorus.

Exodus 20:17 is the last of the 10 commandments - coveting. It deals with the motivation behind respecting other people's stuff.

The 9th of the 10 commandments deals with honesty in courts, society, church, business, etc.

Study of Romans 12:2 and other references to transformation as a process rather than just an instant. Meal worms become beetles rather than butterflies.

Exodus 20:8 and Genesis 2:1-18 deal with the origin and value of the Sabbath rest--physically, community, and spiritually. Work and creativity form the backdrop for rest and worship.

Exodus 20: 7 deals with respect for God by respecting His name. Teaches that God is personal.

Exodus 19 reports on what happened just before the 10 commandments are given by God. The people were warned and afraid, which was the right response. But there's more than guilt and fear. There's grace.

Acts 17:16-34 has The Apostle Paul in Athens, Greece to try communicating with the pagan and philosophical Greek culture. Lessons for us in dealing with the non-Christian world we live in.

Matthew 2:1-12 tells the story of the magi from the East. In this message Peter Ellis shows the world mission focus of this story with emphasis on how God speaks to people in a variety of ways to draw them to himself.
