How do I know if I'm really a Christian? Does it all depend on how sincere I am or how strongly I believe? Can I even be sure or would that be presumptuous? The clue is in the title....

What does Father's Day mean to you? Maybe it's a lot, a little or something quite negative. We think about a story Jesus told which shows us that God wants to be, and can be, a Fantastic Father to us.

Many people say that religion in general, and Christianity in particular, is psychologically damaging: it piles on guilt by telling us to try and be something we are not. At first sight this passage in Romans appears to confirm that view. But we need to look a bit closer to avoid misreading it entirely.

Do you know God? We trace what the presence of God meant in the Old Testament, the New Testament and then for us today as God's way of coming has got bigger and bigger. We see how you can know God in your everyday life and what it really means to have His presence with us.

If we are freely accepted by God because of his grace what do we need to do about God's Law from the Old Testament? Do we need to keep it or can we just ignore it or what? And what about when Christians still break the Law?

Do you have a problem with Sin? Do you ever find it hard to do the right thing? There's something inside of us that seems to find it so hard to make the right choices and live the right way. What is it and how can we finally win our inner battles?

Last week we heard about the joyful confidence we can have in God through Jesus. But what about the powerful forces of death and sin which still affect us all? Where do they come from and will they eventually take us down? Or has God got them covered?

Any serious attempt to live for God must involve our finances. We cannot claim a connection with God and at the same time refuse him to influence what we do with our money.

It's easy to celebrate what God has done for us when life is going well, but what about when life is hard? How does being a Christian make a difference when we are struggling with all kinds of difficulties?

What really happened on the first Easter Sunday? Either it was a unique world-changing event or a non-event that is of no consequence besides accidentally spawning a new religion. How should we examine the claims of Jesus rising from the dead whilst maintaining our intellectual integrity?

Many people believe religion is dying out in the face of overwhelming evidence from science and from secular philosophy. Many Christians are pessimistic about ever seeing any more than a trickle of people come to Christ. Is there any reason to believe they are wrong?

Many things in life are not open to everyone but restricted to those to qualify: sports competitions, credit cards, university entrance, to name a few. Is it like that with God? Do we need to exceptional people to be right with God or does he have a different approach?

It's possible to spend our whole lives trying to find meaning and significance by what we do or who we're with or what we achieve. Sadly many people see the message of Jesus as an added burden placed on top of everything else, to try and justify ourselves before God. In fact the very literal opposite is true.

Paul gives his summary of what is wrong with the human race and we discover that we have all been shockingly unfaithful. If no one seeks God, is there any way to restore our broken relationship?
