Kevin Kietzman Has Issues

It was a bowl game for the ages as KU stormed back from 25 down and took Arkansas to triple OT before coming up short 55-53.  It's hard to get upset about a loss for KU as their future is bright.    Speaking of turning a program around... does Dennis Gates have your attention?  The first year basketball head coach at Mizzou is oh so comfortable in what he is doing and it pays off again as Mizzo...

If Southwest Airlines is flying one third their normal schedule and none of their planes are broken down... let's talk about the real problem here.  That means at least 2/3 of their employees are sitting at home.  While I'm sure management and software are to blame for the initial boondoggle, what the heck is going on right now?    Coterie Theater artistic director Jeff Church was found dead in...

It's pretty easy to spot a silly story when you see one but usually it's about things far less important than life or death.  That's why I'm so offended by Ukraine's "offer" to negotiate with Russia.  This story is a complete sham and an insult to those families with dying and injured loved ones.  How shameful.    Kari Lake is the latest Republican to learn fighting the outcome of an election i...

Happy holidays from the Football Feast!    Stan Weber joins us to talk college football first and we've got it all.  Mizzou's thud in the Gasparilla Bowl, KU's upcoming offensive explosion against Arkansas and K-State playing Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.  Plus, the College Football Playoffs begin Saturday where we are rooting for on upset and one blowout.   Then it's on to the Chiefs and the NFL...

Now this is the way you're supposed to play late season football.    An efficient offense taking care of the ball and a defense that was just as good as it gets in the NFL.  Amazingly, the Chiefs defense stopped the Seahawks 15 times on third and fourth down in this game cruising to an easy 24-10 win.  We'll discuss why this is so exciting and take a look at the AFC playoff picture.    Oh, and...

One Chiefs player, a budding star at that, is having a horrible time on social media and it's forcing his teammates to try to talk him off a ledge.  We've got the skinny.    Mizzou just put a history making beatdown on number 16 Illinois in the Braggin' Rights Game and it looked more than legit.  Mizzou looks tourney worthy for sure.  KU beats Harvard, although Bill Self was happier with his fa...

Ukraine President Zelensky showed up in DC to beg for billions more of our tax dollars and didn't even show the respect and courtesy to put on a jacket and tie.  Dude looked like a third world dictator and dragged this pathetic administration down yet another notch.    Why is he here?  Simple.  He's losing a war and Republicans are about to cut him off.  I've got the facts on just how grim it i...

Ukrainian President Zelensky is in Washington DC to pick up another $45 Billion of our money in what is becoming a completely insulting scam on the American people.    You may have seen the Tom Cruise movie promo during the Chiefs game Sunday, now a video of his craziest stunt even has hit the internet and gone viral.    Yes, it's true, a Chiefs super fan has robbed a bank in Oklahoma.  This ma...

Whoever is chair of the Republican National Committee better have one heck of a game plan.  Donald Trump Jr. pointed this out in front of 12,000 people at a Turning Point event this weekend, we'll share what he says.    On the same stage, Missouri Senator Josh Hawley just crushed it with a speech about problems with American young men.  Hawley looked and sounded different than any time before....

Can you win in the NFL and be disappointed?  It's certainly a question Chiefs fans are considering this week as the wins pile up despite sloppy play all over the board.  Stan Weber joins us to take a hard look at what the Chiefs have to do in order to make it to the Super Bowl.   The AFC contenders had a hard time of it this weekend but keep winning.  And there's a new contender nobody is talki...

The Chiefs get out of Houston with their 11th win of the season, and are once again crowned AFC West Champions. KC once again proves they aren't capable of playing someone else's game, so to speak. There's issues that need to be brought to attention. Miami couldn't quite knock off Buffalo in the snow, which would have given the Chiefs a total break this weekend after playing a generous C- game aga...

It's not one of the crazier Patrick Mahomes stats you've ever heard but he will accomplish a first in Sunday's game.  And it will make you question whether it's true.   Then, www.dannyclinkscale.com joins us for a Between the Lines reunion. Danny is back from a sweet vacation and we'll talk about a new downtown ballpark and the Chiefs matchup Sunday in Houston.    And finally, Lee Sterling of w...

Authorities in San Francisco have released some new details about the attack on Paul Pelosi.  It is, however, a fraction of the information needed to learn anything and it is entirely political.    In DC, out of nowhere, Democrats are introducing the "Puerto Rico Status Act" as they are trying to get the island to become the 51st state and swing the balance of the Senate.    Consumer spending i...

Royals Chairman John Sherman finally has me optimistic about a new ballpark downtown for the Royals.  Sherman said at a public event Tuesday that private money will take care of the "major part" of the $2 billion project.  At this point, there's no reason not to believe him.  But it would sure be a first in this town if he comes through.     Peyton Manning told a story about Bill Belichick on t...

The founder of crypto mess FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, has been arrested in the Bahamas.  He's eventually coming to America and will be tried on multiple counts of fraud and like jailed for decades.  This is good news as it's pretty much the only Democrat I can think of that has been popped since Joe Biden became president.    Inflation numbers released Tuesday were better than expected and the sto...

The Football Feast is jam packed with NFL playoff contenders as the Chiefs beat the Broncos again... this time in a nail biter that should have been a laugher.  Turnovers continue to keep KC from being an elite team and Stan Weber is here to tell us if the Chiefs can fix it.   We also take a hard look at the Buffalo Bills who have a ton of problems on their own, even though they keep winning.  ...

Many of us thought this Border War was a return to the good old days of a real rivalry.  Instead, we got another KU beatdown over a former rival that doesn't belong on the same floor.  It was ugly, hideous and not entertaining.    That meant the most interesting thing to see was Mizzou football coach Eliah Drinkwitz holding up a sign about KU being cheaters.  It rang hollow.   Also this weekend...

I can't wait for the Border War game with KU at MU Saturday as it just conjures up so many great memories and should be a competitive game that means a lot to many.  It sort of signifies the start of college basketball season as the college football regular season is over.    The Chiefs are flexed out of prime time and get Ian Eagle calling their regional game against Denver Sunday.  Does anyon...

WNBA star Brittney Griner is on her way home after 9 months in Russian prison and that's a good thing.  The Biden administration traded a man named "the Merchant of Death" for Griner and some believe it was a very lopsided trade.    The manager at Olive Garden in Overland Park has been fired after demanding his employees prove they have a real reason to miss work.  This is getting national atte...

The more Mizzou talks about not playing KU in a bowl game, the worse it gets.  I like Eli Drinkwitz because he's unafraid and says things... this time... he's saying way too much and it looks bad.    Ditto for Chiefs safety Justin Reid who, ridiculously, now says he was right about the Bengals.  Andy has to shut this guy up, fast.    The Royals are not only bad, they are unlucky.  The draft lot...

Actor Kirstie Alley has died at the age of 71 after what's being described as a short battle with an aggressive cancer.  She was beloved by millions of Americans for her role on Cheers, which was a difficult role to take.  Alley was from Wichita, went to KU and had the audacity to support Trump in 2016.  These facts made a couple celebrity tributes to her life just a little selfish.    Lawyer H...

The computer says the Chiefs are still the favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl but I'm not buying it.  It's pretty obvious now the Chiefs own their division but don't be the best teams very often.  Tom Brady in AFC Title game and then the Super Bowl, the Bills (except a :13 second miracle) repeatedly and of course Joe Burrow and the Bengals.  It's a very real problem.  Stan Weber is...

KKHI weekend has a role reversal as I will host and Spencer is the guest after we had a great time in Dallas at the Big 12 Title Game.  We'll share some stories and talk some football including the Playoffs being set and where MU and KU may be bowling.  It's all brought to you by www.homewithcornerstone.com and www.eeoutdoor.com

The U.S. Men's Soccer Team looks to surprise us all by advancing Saturday at the World Cup.  One thing is for sure, our players and fans aren't in near the danger people in other countries are.  This tourney shows us how different governments change lives for humans everywhere.   Patrick Mahomes appeared on Travis Kelce's podcast and has told some wild stories about how he got drafted by the Chi...

For weeks it's been reported that Apple is dropping Twitter from the App Store and a clash of the titans was coming.  That's when Elon Musk did what any practical businessman would do... he went to Apple HQ and met with  CEO Tim Cook.  After two minutes, this story went away.  What an example.    Fed Chair Jerome Powell says nobody saw this inflation coming and he sounds like he's reading right...
