When we have a choice we also have power.  Exercising that choice...to do or not to do something that is well within our power is actually about Power.

You don't know what you are talking about is a common response to other people.  It may be that WE don't know what THEY are talking about.  It's in our best interest to try and understand rather than to make sure we are understood.

There is a song called "The Theme From SWAT" and there is "SWAT" theme that runs through my life.  Let me explain.

Another reminder that cheaper is not better and substitutes are just that...they take the place of the authentic.

Pointing out the mistakes of others should not be done lightly...nor with delight.

We often forget that this rock we live on is not ours.  We tend to worry about the events occurring on this rock while forgetting that it is not ours to worry about.

We often get indignant about the things we see other people do.  Our reaction to their "crimes" may tell us more about us than about them.

What kind of "big" cats roam around in the Alabama swamps and hardwoods may be up for debate...but there is one predator that is guaranteed and warning should be taken very seriously.

What we do on personal, one on one, basis may seem insignificant or even obscure.  The impact on an individual in a small obscure area may have profound impact if not on the world but at least in their world.

Choices we make now have the potential to have long reaching affects years later.  Like when your emerging interest in girls collides with your aspiring career as a stuntman.

Imitation is not the same thing as actually being or knowing.    How we sound and what we really are can be really different. 

I don't have to know exactly where you are to be concerned for you in a legitimate caring way.  It's not required to have your exact location to care enough about you to pray.  Even if you don't really understand where I am...It's still very powerful that you pray I get home.

The distinct, unmistakable nature of blood.  A blood trail is not always easy to follow. If you know how to read it and you follow it it will lead you to what you are looking for.

The grass is not always greener on the other side or for that matter on the inside of the fence.  We often get tricked by our own sense of worth and fall for the bait and switch becoming prisoners of our own self image and selfish desires.

The things that bother can become things don't bother us.  The things we "hate" can become things we don't mind or even things we embrace.  It's a subtle process.  It's so subtle that sometimes we don't even know it happened.

There are two primary emotions: Love and Fear.  Love is manifested by all good things and comes from a place of selflessness.  Bad things come from fear.  Fear us often about self preservation.  In some cases self preservation is pure selfishness.  Prefect love casts out fear.

Wanting and having are two different things.  Asking and getting creates a dilemma.  Now that I have it what am going to do with it? The power of asking creates the responsibility of having.  How do we respond when we get what we ask for--or even what we do not expect? 

Don't get so caught up in what's happening in the THE world that you fail to notice who is hurting or who you might help in YOUR world.

Once upon a time the junk man came to our neighborhood.  But not anymore.  What happened to him?  Let's just say he did it to himself even though he was being warned.  Be careful what you open your life to.  Containers contain things.

You get what you pay for and you "pay" for it when you use a cheap substitute no matter how good it sounds or what we use to justify it. 

The story of our lives is not in the beginning and the ending but in the middle.  What does your DASH contain?

Emotion, distractions and separation are the three "deadly" sins that distract us from our mission---if we get distracted from our mission we fail and ultimately we fail to go to home.

Where does the real danger exist?  It is not in the things we choose to focus on as much as it is in the deeper, "unseen", spiritual issues.
