Lynn Zinnecker of Joseph's Hammer told KBEY 103.9 FM listeners about the nonprofit organization's Raise the Roof fundraiser on Saturday, June 22, at the Burnet Community Center. Proceeds will go toward building a chapel at the women's prison in Burnet. The event features a catered barbecue dinner and live music by Jake Hooker & the Outsiders.

Burnet has a new American Legion: Patrick M. Goble Post 974. Officials are looking for veterans to join. The post's Mike Janto, Monte Andrews, and Gary Crabtree were in the KBEY 103.9 FM studio to spread the word.

The city of Marble Falls hosts its Summer Concert Series every Friday evening. Most of the shows in the lineup take place in Johnson Park. Cody Canada and The Departed perform June 14. Meanwhile, Burnet welcomes Departure ATX to its Jackson Street Jams series downtown on Saturday, June 15.

Music on Main at Old Oak Square in Marble Falls is ending its spring season on a high note. Promoter Jay Brown summed up the first part of the series and told KBEY 103.9 FM listeners to be ready for more free live music in the fall.
