Jyoshna - From Nothingness To Empowerment

I didn't know what to say tonight so I picked a booklet called "Light Comes" by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti and opened it up at this page and read it out. It's one fo the most optimistic, hopeful, quotations I have ever read and I want to share it with you. I end with an old bhajan I wrote years ago and a kiirtan.    

I talk briefly about the gratitude I feel for each and everyone who has contributed to the Kiirtan Academy so far. I touch on what are some of the topics that we have covered and hows it all going? I end with 'Consciousness Kiirtan'

Touhouri Bailley is from the Ivory Coast originally and has an amazing blues voice and guitar style. Eustache Otielli is from the Congo and has an incredible finger picking style and the vocal harmonies are wonderful! Listen here..

Kiirtan is a subtle science and there's a depth of musical thought, intuition and science that goes into creating a successful sequence. This is something we are doing now as we prepare for the Kiirtan concert on Saturday and the launch of Avarta Kiirtan III at Sunrise. Kiirtan aesthetics is something I never really thought about till I went to Rarh... thats where I learnt so much about this fascinating topic.
