Update: All my music is now Creative Commons licensed. This means if you want to use it in a video or an app then go for it. All I ask is that you credit me and link back here to my soundcloud (http://soundcloud.com/junklight). It would also be cool if you could let me know you've used it. I love listening to music. I love making music I love technology, but only as a means to an end when it comes to music making. I'm after music that has life not music that is perfectly constructed Here is my music

An Empty House 27.02.2016 7:19
Our neighbour died of cancer a couple of weeks ago. As far as I could tell she was about my age and it happened pretty quickly. I didn't know her well but I liked talking to her and she brought apples and herbs round from her garden from time to time. This is music for quiet contemplation. Elegies and requiems often seem to be all drama and big emotions. I wanted to make something gentle for quiet...
Choices made long ago 08.02.2016 5:42
Rhythm section is all modular and piano and sax over the top of that

Made on my laptop in my hotel here in New York before heading to the airport
The Heroine Saves The Day 23.01.2016 5:23
The core of this track is a modular patch that I was using to generate a rhythmic ambient 'background' for track for the ambient album I'm now working on. However fiddling with the settings revealed this other sound - swirly background noises with a self perpetuating bass beat (Maths and the MMG modulating each other basically. The beat is Maths end of cycle on channel 4 hitting the accent input o...
Broken Toes 17.12.2015 5:25
Harsh percussive electronics - not my usual stuff at all. I've recorded a number of versions of this over the last week and a half - I like it too much to discard it but very wary of how jarring it is compared to most of the stuff I make.

messing about with beats, bass lines and synths a special shout out to Michael Hetrick on the Native Instruments user library for making a lot of the blocks used in this https://www.native-instruments.com/en/reaktor-community/reaktor-user-library/all/all/all/283428/
The Ill Considered Day 09.10.2015 3:06
I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the alchemy synth or not so I figured the best way to get to know it is to make a track with it. It does some nice stuff but I'm not sure it will ever be a 'goto' synth
Small And Far Away 04.10.2015 5:03
Dubby modular. Based around a reaktor blocks patch I didn't quite have control over so it gets a little chaotic at times. But I quite like that
Flowers Beneath 03.10.2015 6:10
iPad only track made on my travels. Has an accompanying video too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PV-iEE3838
Forgotten 02.10.2015 8:26
Atmospheric piano in a noisy ambient setting I'm now licensing my stuff on soundcloud with a creative commons license (I'll be updating all my earlier tracks in due course too) so if you want to use anything I've made in film or an app then feel free as long as you credit me and link to my soundcloud
Someone Elses War 20.09.2015 3:09
I made a reaktor blocks patch which is the centre of the track. After I made the patch the rest of it just fell into shape - not quite what I expected and not my usual style

I seem to have made a companion piece to the one I uploaded earlier
The Submariners Dream 14.09.2015 5:21
Just found this rooting around on my disk looking for something else. Was investigating that Eno shimmer production technique he does

Dark modular textures. This is a reaktor blocks patch performed on the knobs of my lpd8 Ideally play on a decent sound system (with great bass) and play very loud
