Continuing with Matthew 13, I discuss the meaning behind these parables and some of the revelation Jesus shares with us through His Word.

This episode will serve as the launching point for a series of teachings on the Parables of Jesus. In this episode, I talk about why Jesus used Parables and delve into the first one we cover - the seed and the sower from Matthew 13.

Relationships are built through process and stages and God is no different. God takes us from the initial level of salvation to greater depths and heights through His Spirit. Scriptures include Numbers 21:4-9, Numbers 21:16-20, Isaiah 44:2, Isaiah 43:18-19.

God made an iron axehead float after it broke from its handle. Like that tool, the gifts God has given you may sink under the surface. Once a gift is stirred up, God will defy the natural laws of science to bring it to the surface once more so you can take hold of it and keep building.

Joseph named his second born son Ephraim, because "The Lord has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction." Not in the land of blessings, or when everything is going well. The fruit was in the midst of affliction. The Kingdom of God doesn't always make sense to the carnal mind, but this is a Kingdom principle - you don't have to be in a good place to be fruitful!
