On this "Back to Church Sunday", Senior Leader John Poundstone shares some alarming statistics about the state of the church in our country and particularly in our region.  He reminds us that "back to church" means back to the presence of God.  We are invited to go deeper and to discover (or rediscover) Jesus and our God-given purpose.

When one is saved, one is transported fully from the kingdom of darkness and the systems of this world and transported fully into the Kingdom of God.

In our message today we look at the beliefs and values that form the culture of families, businesses, churches and organizations.  We examine the Core Values that support, feed, nurture and give life to the culture here at Joy Church.

The Bible makes it clear that God puts great importance on children and infants.  Because children are treasured by God, we as a church must make children a priority.  As a church and as individuals we need to be about the business of noticing, affirming, discipling, contending for and praying for the children in our midst.

Throughout the Bible there is a recurring pattern of death, burial and resurrection.  When we find our selves in the Valley of the Shadow of Death, there is a path through it to resurrection and growth.  Today we look at Godly ways to get through the valley and reach the resurrection and growth on the other side.

Our message this week comes from Diane Buice.  She reminds us that the world's hope is based upon wishful thinking.  Our hope is different.  Our hope is based upon eternal life and vision led endurance.
