What should a church be known for? We’re often known for what we’re against, but Jesus and His early followers challenge us to be famous for something far more important – our compassion, generosity, and love. 

What makes a church unique? One of the distinguishing characteristics is what they do with what they have. In this message, you’re invited to step out of the cycle of accumulation and live a better kind of life.

Confession is one of the most misunderstood spiritual habits, and that keeps us from experiencing the benefits. Rather than wallowing in guilt and shame and making confession a destructive practice, many writers from the Bible explain how confession is the way to find joy, peace, and confidence in the forgiveness God offers us. 

In an information age, our bias is to make our spiritual pursuits about what we know or about the exchange of ideas. We don't pursue relationships primarily through information, and we can't treat our relationship with God any differently. If anything besides knowing God becomes the focus of our spiritual habits, we miss out on the true purpose of our lives.

Spiritual disciplines are not magical; they are practical. They’re not a formula; they’re relational. So many people miss the point of developing spiritual habits, but because of what Jesus said about himself, we cannot take our spiritual habits lightly. Spiritual habits are all about keeping us connected to Jesus.

Many people treat Christianity like a list of rules to follow. What if we’ve gotten it backwards? What if doing what Jesus says is what we most want to do? In this message, we’ll discover what makes obedience something we do willingly.

Jesus claimed to be the only way to God, but that doesn’t seem fair. If you’re good, then shouldn’t you be good with God? That’s what most assume, but maybe that’s not as fair as we think. 

Believing in Jesus isn’t about blind faith. It’s about trust. That’s the foundation for a relationship with God, and the great news is this. You can give Jesus your trust, and then let Him prove He’s trustworthy.

Do you have questions or doubts about who Jesus is? Wonder if He’s worth trusting? Jesus isn’t offended by that. He actually invites you to come and see for yourself, because you can follow and not believe. You can explore and not be sure.
