JC opens up the show with some Falcons training camp talk and shares his thoughts on some of the reactions coming out of Flowery Branch, particularly those that seem to share concerns over Desmond Ridder’s performance, to which JC believes is overreaction.

JC kicks off the hour with a recap of the Braves 5-3 loss to the Red Sox with Spencer Strider on the mound. Overall, Strider had a solid outing with 10 strikeouts, but he gave up two homeruns at a crucial time forcing him to be pulled and the Braves’ bullpen could not hang on for the win. 

JC shares his thoughts on why he believes that Spencer Strider is the leading candidate for the Cy Young award and states that with him pacing to break John Smoltz’ single season strikeout record, which he said back in March he felt Strider would do, he should be a clear cut favorite for the award.
