The Word of God has a lot to say about how to conquer fear. "I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears." Psalm 34:4

When we worry we are actually setting ourselves a goal to fail. The future belongs to the risk takers not the security seekers.

The fear of failure and the fear of rejection are two major hindrances to moving forward in faith to accomplish great things for God and His Kingdom. You can overcome both - give a listen.

You were not made for the safety of the sanctuary; you were created by God to boldly carry the good news to the world. It takes courage.

You can prepare to be courageous. The trial or testing of your faith today is preparation for the greater challenge of tomorrow.

Some examples of courage that overcomes fear. You may be surprised to learn that God uses average people to do extraordinary things.

What is courage? "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed" Joshua 1:9 KJV

Here are some practical ideas on overcoming fear. You can do this.

There may be a scientific name for what you fear but do not worry - Jesus has overcome that fear and He will give you the victory over it as well.

Understanding our fears is a good starting place. The Bible speaks of at least 3 types of fear. Let's take a closer look.

"Courage is not the absence of fear but the mastery of it." -Mark Twain

Is it right for a pastor to call a church to prayer? Do you have time to attend a prayer meeting? Our answers to those two questions are a reflection of our priorities.

The first place to go is before Him in prayer instead of, "Well all we can do now is pray." Prayer should never be a last resort.

"Prayer does not enable us to do a greater work for God, prayer is the greater work for God." (Thomas Chalmers) I have not begun to work for God until I have began to pray.

Be a leader - take a knee! Teach others to pray by setting the example. Be a model that others can see. Just do it.

"The one concern of the devil is to keep the saints from praying" (Samuel Chadwick). Are we praying for others? Will others be inspired to pray by our example?

To Stand in the Gap FOR HIM means to speak against the things He is against. God is searching for persons who will speak for Him and refuse to compromise.

The church is the only hope for America. But the church in America is in trouble. She desperately needs our prayers.

If ever there was a time when our nation needed prayer it is now. Our freedom that so many have paid the supreme sacrifice to preserve is in jeopardy. Pray hard!

Harmless as doves, bold as lions. Your witness serves as evidence that those who reject Jesus have no excuse in the day of judgement. Just do it!

Followers of Christ can count on one thing - they will be tested. Our response will reveal the depth of our relationship with Him.

You can turn the attacks of your persecutors into opportunities to witness by focusing on the big picture. It isn't about us. Keep the focus on Jesus by talking about what He has done for you.

"What you do speaks so loudly I cannot hear what you are saying." Followers of Christ should have a good report among unbelievers so that when falsely accused there will be no evidence of wrong doing on their part.

Keep your priorities straight and people will have no trouble seeing your purpose. Speak the truth in love.

We worship the true and living God. Our conscience is clear. False accusations will not deter us. Stay the course till Jesus comes!
