The troupe went through the hell door and faced down a demon to save Werner. Adam used Werner as a human shield, who was then partly eaten by the demon, Del saved Tyler by knocking the demon into a cauldron of bloodr, and Shadow Rogue pinned the demon beneath the surface using his Immovable Rod. The troupe ventured into the caves to save Werner Herzog and fought off some Skinless, a werewolf, and a demon! Del was unintentionally hurt by Shadow Rogue, first when she high-fived him without thinking and again when he tried to heal her, Adam picked up a decapitated Skinless head to supposedly check for traps but then tasted its brain, and Tyler found a mysterious door and offered the laurel c...

The troupe had been captured by the Dark One’s servants and brought to the Skinless because they’d defeated the Black Knight. The Skinless liked Del’s skin the best, Shadow Rogue started to remember various pop culture references, and Adam convinced a recently-skinless Peter Nutter to let them out of their cage only to promptly eat him to the horror of the others. Shadow Rogue started praying to Ezra through song, while Tyler tried to strategize with Werner Herzog but instead scared Werner so much, that the mayor renounced his atheism and joined in singing praise to Ezra. The troupe called upon Ezra to bring Guy back to life, but he came back with ghostly hands and no memory and renamed himself Shadow Rogue. Del tried to rally them all to hurry up so they could get Tyler the medical help he urgently needed, but as they left the ruined temple, Adam got distracted: first by the squires, who he recruited to fight the Spider Folk, and then by the new voice in his head,...

Having made it past the slime mummies, the troupe met Rumpleforeskin, an intelligent skeletal horse who offered to help them defeat the Black Knight. Del stood atop the human pyramid of the troupe, removed the Knight’s helm, and stabbed him, thus beginning a desperate combat. The troupe finally entered the ruined temple of Ezra and began fighting off the Black Knight’s defences! Del took a stand against three Nightmare Dogs, but ultimately ran away as Adam distracted one of them with pizza, Guy accidentally released a slime monster when he hurled a sarcophagus lid at the pursuing dogs, and Tyler threw himself onto the lid of another sarcophagus, also containing a slime...

The troupe finally got outfitted in their fighting gear! Now that they’ve accepted the role of the Chosen One and his entourage, the troupe learned that they’ll have to defeat the three great evils over the next three days, or they’ll be executed as pretenders who took advantage of the prophecy.
