Nice week ahead, tropics have their influence 31.08.2020

We’ll finish August out in a beautiful way. After a few showers and storms, cooler and drier air will drain into the region in time for September, courtesy of a tropical system. This one won’t be a problem, but other storms are in the Atlantic. We’ll also watch the mugginess make a return for a time late in the week.

Hot and humid weather expected on Monday and Tuesday. Also, Marco may produce some destructive storm surge along the LA coast while Laura may strengthen into a major hurricane.

Double trouble in the tropics. 23.08.2020

In a year in which tropical systems have been forming at a record pace, we will watch for two storms to possibly become hurricanes and affect the Gulf Coast in quick succession. The warmth and humidity will also build the next couple of days locally, and we may see severe weather on Tuesday.
