Vanessa Reynoso (James 1:1-4; 5:7-12)    Vanessa Reynoso graduated from JBU in 2021 with a degree in Family and Human Services. During her time at JBU, she was a women’s soccer standout, wearing the blue and gold from 2018 to 2021. After graduation, Vanessa began the graduate counseling program at JBU and served as the assistant coach from January 2022 through May 2024.

Connor Young (James 4:6-17)    Connor Young is Director of Worship Arts and Pastoral Care at JBU.

Jubilant Sykes   Jubilant Sykes, JBU's 2024 Artist in Residence, is a professional American baritone vocalist. He has appeared with many of the world’s finest orchestras, and his unique gifts have taken him to stages such as the Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center. His visit is sponsored by the Music & Theatre Department.

World Awareness Week: Donna Fast   Donna Fast and her husband Loren, both JBU alumni (’74), served for 41 years as missionaries with AIM International. Donna’s heart for missions from the age of four led her to multiple assignments while ministering in Africa. Donna and Loren also served as JBU Missionaries in Residence in 2001-2002.

Rosemary Flaaten (James 1:19-20)    Rosemary Flaaten is Executive Director for the Center for Healthy Relationships and Instructor of Ministry at JBU.

Rod Reed (James 1:16-18)    Dr. Rod Reed, a former long-time JBU chaplain and professor, now serves as a spiritual mentor for Christian business leaders. He and his wife Michelle have four adult children and two daughters-in-law, five of whom are JBU grads.
