Wonder and joy as I took advantage of strongly discounted rarities while sadly not partaking in others! This is the Zest store in Sagamihara and well worth a visit as I had on December 22, 2024. I have found treasures on most of my visits over the years, and even if not, they still have a Dangan Ronpa vending machine to enjoy!

Visiting a new Surugaya in an old haunt, this is the store in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki, in the Fashion Cruise shopping center. On December 9, 2024, there were rarities and junk and I bought a game due to wistfulness.

Visited on December 2, 2024, this is actually not a gaming store! This is the outlet branch of Village Vanguard, a nationwide chain that sells curiosities, collectibles, and knick-knacks. Among them are video game related curiosities, collectibles, and knick-knacks. Super-duper cheap!

A fallen giant was visited on December 1, 2024, as I visited a decades-old favorite of mine, the WonderGoo store in Tsukuba, Ibaraki. Formerly one of Japan's greatest bastions of game retail, the internet has changed it to the desperate scramble for relevance I find today. Still, it is improved from a few years ago, and it sells my favorite modern accessory for a vintage system.

The second Hard Off visited on November 17, 2024, this is the Chiba Hamano store! It was remodeled recently and smells good! It has Cammy, DLC in the form of a $2000 cartridge, and more Pong consoles than owned by Mr. Pong himself!

Visiting a brand new Hard Off store in Chiba city on November 17, 2022, this is the Chiba Oyumino branch. If you want the worst deal ever for a Nintendo 64DD, I have just the place for you!

Many people have discussed the spacious Hard Off store at Eco Town in Hachioji city in Tokyo, but this smaller one in Hachioji, the Horinouchi store, is very much worth visiting. Many things are overpriced but hey you might find something or something.

Visited on October 26, 2024, this is a visit to the Hard Off store in Sodegaura, Chiba. Surprising NEC game system prices and don't forget that you shouldn't pay much for many used Virtual Boy games!

A visit on October 26, 2024 to the newest Surugaya store in Japan, being the one in Ichihara, Chiba! The new employees just give you stuff at cheap prices! Many detailed figures especially of the characters with the figures you find appealing!

Hey, it is a visit to Ichihara and its Hard Off store on October 26, 2024 and it has game stuff! Also you can get something to shove into miniature musicians!

A Hard Off in Aikawa, Kanagawa that still has New Store Smell was visited on October 20, 2024, less than a month after opening. It had a weird Taiwanese fake Famicom fashioned into a combination light gun/N64 controller that I should have bought. I did buy a sealed animation game that was too kid-friendly for my taste!

Another Hard Off in Kanagawa, this one being the Tsukimino store in Yamato city very close to Zama. You can get skee-ball and crane game machines and air hockey and slot machines and even things that fit in your house!

This is a short report from Kanda Shoten in Nagareyama, Chiba, as visited on October 14, 2024. You know, the one on Route 6 near Tokyo! It is a great place for gambling and pornography!

On October 11, 2024, the Hard Off in Moka city of Tochigi was visited. It had a number of retro game systems in varying levels of operation at prices lower than would be expected!

Surprising finds at the Hard Off in Ushiku, Ibaraki, visited on October 6, 2024! I found the most common rare game at a price never seen and think I will go back and get it so for now please don't go buy it first pretty please?

Unfortunately not as good as it was previously, this is the Momotaro Kingdom visited in Soka, Saitama on September 29, 2024. Maybe you like a huge amount of junk Switch games? I found two games that cost 10-20 times more than how much I found them previously at a different Surugaya-related store in the very same prefecture!

It is the Soka Nishi branch of Hard Off and Off House in Saitama, Japan, as visited on September 29, 2024. Formerly and currently containing WonderSwan stuff, although nothing was purchased this day! Maybe the first and last time to see the most interesting optional controller for an obscure system, though!

On September 29, 2024, the Furuhon Ichiba store in Soka, Saitama was visited! It is almost Tokyo! It is also almost a good store! It was formerly a better store! Maybe it can interest you with its foldable smartphones?

So very much was found of note at the Hard Off in Kuki, Saitama on September 23, 2024! Memorabilia, games, and junk for days. I think I talked about this one in the past but it is worth a visit whenever you are in the area!

On September 15, 2024 a Hard Off was visited in Honjo, Saitama, and it is a glorious place. It was here a few years ago where I found my joyous PC Engine CD unit for a super cheap price! Nothing so treasured found this day, but maybe you like Game Boys!
