It's Akihabara time! The first in a few episodes going over some spots for retro gaming in the world's gaming mecca. This is TRADER in my first visit since the remodeling, visited on June 3, 2024,

A visit to Hard Off in Sakado, Saitama on June 2, 2024 for 30 percent money back on everything! Lots of good stuff including good junk. I got a computer.

In Koshigaya, Saiyama is a recently cut in half sized A-too Book Market. Some wacky things and some good deals and some sad feelings about how it used to be better.

Another fun trip to another Surugaya store, this one in Narashino city in Chiba, albeit in a neighborhood more famous to foreigners by its station name than the city itself. Listen to learn a hint for parking for free!

This time I'll describe finds in the 4th best Surugaya store, the one in Konosu, Saitama as visited on May 19th, 2024! You can get the most expensive PC Engine ever and then go downstairs for a hot and fresh pepperoni pie!

Kind of a regular old Hard Off trip visit description this time, being the one in Sodegaura, Chiba, on May 12, 2024. Not the best place for rare retro games but a great place if you're looking to collect every computer Apple ever made.

The second store visited in Kisarazu, Chiba on May 12, 2024, this is a favors Hard Off store. Huge with lots of stock and a take off said to find, it has one of the most surprising deals I've seen although it's more useful these days as a toddler's nap area than a game accessory.

The first store visited in a drive through Kisarazu, Chiba, this is a Momotaro Kingdom store manager by the Surugaya chain. Some super cheap stuff and super expensive stuff, but in the end I was happy to take advantage of the store's wide array of 100 yen junk games, CDs, and Blu-ray/DVDs

Formerly a great store that feel on hard times but now is seeing a resurgence, I describe visiting a WonderGoo store in Mobara, Chiba on May 12, 2024. Also I share information on the best donuts in the world.

The final of the 3 Fuji Shoten stores visited on May 6, 2024 in Ibaraki prefecture, this one in Ishioka city. I finally fulfill a dream I've sought for years, I describe the most programmable pad ever, and do people still like those Funko Pop things?

The second Fuji Shoten store visited on May 6, 2024, this visit delivered on some manual-less eye-less animation gameness. Spawn is cheap, a creepy cell phone call, and Domino's Pizza.

On this May 6, 2024 visit to Fuji Shoten in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki, I buy further access to the deepest dungeon and a Danganronpa bag. For only 1500 yen you can also apparently buy a free game on the PS5.

Currently an Enterking store yet on next remodeling to be a Surugaya, some information on a visit on May 5, 2024 to the branch in Nishi Arai, Adachi ward, Tokyo. The new in box Virtual Boy stock continues! Plus go upstairs for some SMAP and Tolstoy!

One of the best stores for game searchers in Japan, as visited on May 5, 2024, this is the very nice Surugaya branch in Omiya ward of Saitama city. My only reason not to recommend that you go there right now is that you might buy good stuff before I can the next time I go.

Just a couple of things that can be found at Geo, a media store and movie rental shop with branches throughout Japan. This one was in Tsukuba, Ibaraki, visited on April 29, 2024. Also, I'm dearly sick and choked up.

A not so wonderful Hard Off/Off House location in Misato, Saitama. Most of my visits result in no purchases and this visit on April 26, 2024 is no exception. However if you are desperate for a huge boxed light gun or an unopened sexy Saturn game, you are in luck! Also, eat pizza!

It's another Papi! This one, visited on April 22, 2024, had a Game Boy-less Tamagotchi box, cheap Amiibo, and a printer for your PlayStation 2! Also the old man was less old!

A visit on April 21, 2024 to the Guru Guru kanteidan-style store in Machida, Tokyo. It lost the machine I loved the first time I went, but you can still do Switch gambling and get Chesterfield.
