Jake's Inferno

Still months left of this year and already 2027 is looking pretty sweet when it comes to live shows! Got tickets to Zeke and Getdown Services and hopefully a couple of the bands on my bucket list (The Cruel Intentions, The Sewergrooves, Clutch, Run the Jewels just name a few) can be crossed off too. On the playlist you'll find some punk, stoner rock, country funk, hard rock, garage and alternative...

Fall is in the air (already?) and that kinda sucks. I'll take a heat wave over a cold front anyday of the week. But hey, I guess that means spending more time at home in front of the stereo (yes I'm old school on SO many levels). On the playlist for this episode you'll find some punk, hard rock, pop, blues and hardcore,

Jam packed weekend seeing six bands in two days. Back at work again though so it's not all shits and giggles. On the playlist you'll find some punk, rap, thrash, power pop, hardcore, hard rock and Mr. Isaak keeping things cool.

Hot summer nights, World Cup in soccer, browsing in record stores and a cruise to Oslo. My vacation is off and running but if you're stuck at the office a little music might perk you up. On the playlist you'll find some punk, power pop, stoner rock, garage rock, alternative, jazz and grindcore. Enjoy!

Three more weeks and then VACATION! Heading down to Belgium (for the first time ever) to catch the last day of Sjock in mid July and there's some other fun stuff planned here and there too. The Infernos will keep coming but maybe not on the 1st every month during summer. On the playlist for this episode you'll find some punk, hard rock, alternative and thrash.

Better get this out NOW because I gotta get up at 04.30 AM and catch a bus to Hamburg. On the playlist you'll find some punk, alternative, extreme metal, country and hard rock. Enjoy!

No, I'm not f-f-f-foolin´. This IS a brand new episode of Jake's Inferno packed to the gills with cool tunes! On the playlist you'll find some punk, alternative, hip-hop, death metal, grunge, synthpop and soul.

The weekend starts here! Grooving to Johnny Blues Skies' new album and wishing for warmer weather. On the playlist this time around you'll find some punk, alternative, hard rock, country funk and garage.

Eagerly awaiting the ice hockey tournament (jam packed with NHL players) to start at the Olympics, but in the meantime I'll dish out another episode of the Inferno for you. On the playlist you'll find some punk, alternative, country, thrash, hard rock and hip hop. Enjoy!

First show of the year and not a damn thing has changed. Same messed up playlists, same old host. You'll find me spinning some punk, hip-hop, alternative, stoner rock, mariachi, country funk and hard rock. Hope you'll have a buoyant 2026!

It's time for the annual top ten countdown of the best albums released in the last twelve months. Bands/artists from Canada, Sweden, Denmark, England, Australia and USA made the list. So give it a listen and find out if YOUR favorite band was included.

Little late with this episode as I try to get them out on the 1st of each month, but hey, I've been busy! Off to the capital (and what I called home for ten years) later this month where my teenage daughter will attend a gig. On the playlist you'll find some punk, alternative, rap, thrash, grunge, hard rock and prog rock. Next show will be the annual top ten countdown of the best records released...

New month, new episode of the Inferno! Been watching "House of Guinness" and is always upset whenever my local pub has run out of said beer. On the playlist you'll find some punk, hard rock, alternative, drill, stoner rock and rhythm & blues.

Back at work trying my best to stay sane. Some cool concerts in my fall calender though so that's nice. I'll even swing by Germany to see bands that chose to skip Scandinavia this time around. On the playlist you'll find some punk, garage, hard rock, thrash, soul and alternative.

Halfway through my vacation and it feels like I've done fuck all. But I guess that's the best way to relax. Seen Zeke twice, read some good books and binged the second season of The Gold so it's all good. On the playlist you'll find some punk, alternative, garage, hard rock, metal, stoner rock, hip-hop and the inimitable Julie London. Enjoy!

Three more days and then it's FINALLY vacation time! Not that I have much planned, but knowing I don't have to ride the bus to work for a month is pretty sweet. On the playlist this time around you'll find some punk, thrash, alternative, hard rock and song from a fun soundtrack made by the folks who gave you Spinal Tap.

Better late than never as the saying goes! The hardware I use to record this podcast up and died and it me took a couple of weeks to get the hang of my new stuff. Still don't have a satisfying mic sound but the music's what matters right?. On this episode you'll hear some punk, hard rock, thrash, alternative, rap and a doozy from 1970.

May 1st is a holiday in this part of the world so what did I do? Worked! In a garden though, in the sun, helping my dear band mate lay a lawn. But enough about me. On the playlist you'll find some punk, thrash, hard rock, alternative, garage and stoner rock. Turn it up!

No joke, here's a brand new episode out on April Fools' Day. Finally had a day where it was warm enough to sit outside and read during my lunch break. On the playlist you'll find some punk, alternative, hard rock, death metal and Dean Martin.

A hint of spring is in the air and the tracks I've chosen this time around will surely bring out some hellish warmth. On the playlist you'll find some punk, doom, funk, alternative, thrash, hardcore and hard rock.

Grey and foggy morning (outside, not in my head) but maybe a healthy dose of killer tunes can take my mind off the view from my window. On the playlist you'll find some punk, hard rock, alternative, hardcore, americana, psychobilly and r&b (the 60's kind).

2025 and the Inferno is still alive! On this first episode of the year you'll find some punk, hard rock, garage, death metal, stoner rock and alternative on the playlist. Thanks for listening.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year" some might say and I agree! If for no other reason that it's perfectly legit to drink glögg in this part of the world and because I generally post my top ten countdown of the best albums released in the year that has (soon) gone by. With a bit of luck, YOUR favorite record made the cut.

Heading into a chilly November (in this part of the world at least) so best to keep warm moving about to nearly 39 minutes of great toe-tappers! That's my prescription and you should always follow the dj's order.

Reading Kathleen Hanna's "Rebel Girl" at the moment, a book I highly recommend. No Bikini Kill or Le Tigre on the playlist this time around, but I can still promise a thoroughly enjoyable mix of punk, hard rock, thrash, garage, rap and alternative.
