We only have so many days here on this earth, under the sun, so how do we make that time count? What does it look like to build a Legacy for the generations that come after us?

As we walk through the Book of Ecclesiastes we will see that this life is hard to figure out. How do we live in a world with so much uncertainty and random chaos?

God is Love. We are to abide in His love and Love one another.

God is light. Coming close to God is an invitation to come out of the darkness where so many of us hide and to come into the light of reality.

We come with a lot of baggage around the idea of holiness. But we have a holy God who has created holy people for a holy purpose. We need to grow our understanding of God as holy - he is uniquely set-apart, more than we can bear, in complete harmony and worthy of reverence. May we orient our lives to His holy purposes.

When we say God is good, we are saying something both simple and profound. This truth is the guide for how the Christian should live. God is good, even in a world with real evil. We should be people who embrace the good and oppose the evil.

We live in a world that says beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That beauty is subjective. While there is a degree of truth to this when we discuss preferences, this is relatively a modern idea. He has a hopeful plan and a purpose for you. Even if that means taking a step of obedience. Our choices reveal our character. A mother gives the best parts of her self to her family. Her body, her passion, her resources. This is the same love we see in Jesus. The Gospel declares that this kind of sacrificial love is worth it.

In this message we are going to consider the relation of the Gospel and suffering. We will show that to live the Gospel we must let God be our comfort so that we can bring comfort to others with the comfort of God.
