Every year, the primary station that Inkstuds airs on, CiTR does a funding drive. This year, i was joined by Brian Fukushima , Brandon Graham and Robin Bougie . A good crew of local talent. Ellen Forney joined me to discuss her new book and first long form comic, Marbles, an autobio story about her diagnosis of being Bipolar and how she processed and dealt with that in her life.

Quebecois cartoonist, Michel Rabagliati was able to meet up with me while he was in Vancouver. I am a huge fan of his work. His Paul series is a Canadian treasure. His latest is The Song Of Roland , published last year by Conundrum press, and will have a new book out, Paul Join’s the Scouts out in May.

Lebanese cartoonist, Zeina Abirached joined me to talk about her first work that has been translated into English, A Game for Swallows. It’s really great read about community and childhood during the Lebanese Civil-War.

I was joined by Tom Spurgeon, Bill Kartalopoulos and Joe McCulloch to discuss a variety of comics from 2012. Tumblr wunderkind, Simon Hanselmann joined me to chat about his ongoing web work and the world of Megg, Mogg and Owl. Simon’s work can be found on his own tumblr, Girl Mountain and as well as his amazing Truth Zone strip on Comics WorkBook .

French cartooning duo, Ruppert and Mulot , joined me to talk about their new English collection, Barrel of Monkeys . I am really big fan of the work that they do. Together, they have created a really advanced body of work, pushing new levels of unique story telling.

Nao of Brown cartonist, Glyn Dillon joined me to chat about his new work as well as his early days in Vertigo.

Belgium born cartoonist, Olivier Schrauwen joined me to discuss his work, including the Man Who Grew His Beard . We also covered a plethora of upcoming work like The Greys and the book he is doing about his Grandfather, Arsene Schrauwen that will most likely be available at the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Fest in November and at finer stores like Bergin St Comics, Floating World or Desert Island.

To mark the launch of his Cerebus Downloads project, Dave Sim joined me to discuss Cerebus, his upcoming work published by IDW and a wide variety of other topics. We were also joined by IDW publisher, Ted Adams, and special projects editor, Scott Dunbier.
