The fruit of the Spirit is LOVE. All the other aspects listed in Galatians 5 stem from this, as we’ll hear from Pastor JD today. We all desire love and true love, agape love, can only be found in God. We need to be on guard against the counterfeit love Satan offers because it’ll leave us emptier than we were to begin with.

He loves nothing more than to put doubt and confusion in our minds regarding our relationship with Christ. The more you spend time in the Word, the quicker you’ll be able to spot deception when it comes.

Today Pastor JD continues to explore the idea that Russia is the one that actually controls the middle east. The influence that Russia has on Syria is concerning, to say the least. Thankfully, as followers of Jesus Christ, we know that God is ultimately the one that is in control. We can trust Him as the days draw closer to the return of Jesus.

Who actually controls the middle east? Is it the United States? Is it Russia? Today Pastor JD shares with us that it seems that the previous administration, under Barak Obama, paved the way for Russia to gain control over the middle east. This is because Russia wants to control the massive natural gas and oil reserves that have been discovered in Israel.

So many have the perception that Christianity is just a bunch of taxing rules that we’re required to follow, but Jesus makes it very clear in Scripture that His burden is light. Pastor JD encourages us today to come to Jesus just as we are and He’ll work in our hearts to help us turn from sin and begin to live a life that’s pleasing to Him.

Does your pride get in the way of the work God wants to do in your life? We all have a propensity for pride, thinking we can do things in our own strength, as we’ll hear from Pastor JD today. However, this attitude will only lead us to failure and missing out on what God has for us. Work through the Spirit far outweighs anything in your own strength.

Our culture is so motivated by doing and achieving, but when it comes to our salvation, the doing and achieving has already been accomplished by Jesus. Today Pastor JD reminds us that when we try and earn our salvation, we’re telling Jesus we don’t need Him or what He’s done for us. Abide in Jesus and rest in His saving grace.

Jesus has opened up a relationship for us to God that is intimate and personal. Regardless of what our interaction has been like with our earthly father, Pastor JD tells us today that our heavenly Father can be approached as “Daddy” because He loves us unconditionally and desires a relationship with us. Can you say you have this closeness with Him?

Do you catch yourself with the mindset that if you just did a little extra, God would be more pleased with you? We’re so driven in our culture to do more, but we can’t let this translate into our walk with God. Pastor JD reminds us today that there’s nothing we can do to earn the blessing of God because we’re justified on the basis of what Jesus has done.

Have you ever been baptized with the Spirit? Today Pastor JD explains that the difference between receiving the Spirit when we’re saved and being baptized in the Spirit has to do with power. When we’re filled with the Spirit, torrents of power flow through us that result in courage and fruit in our lives. You simply need to ask for this.
