What’s your first thought when you face an obstacle in life? Do you find yourself intimidated and ready to find an easier way or just give up? You have the God of the universe on your side and when He lights your path, nothing can stand in your way.

Emotions should never be the driving factor in your faith. Our Creator designed this world with purpose and order. As soon as He created it, He called it good. With so much happening in our world today, it's crucial that we continue to put our hope and trust in the right direction. As conservative Christians, do we hope that Donald Trump is elected in 2020...yes. BUT, we simply cannot put our hope and trust in him or the outcome of elections. Our ONLY hope is in the return of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ!

At the time that Pastor JD shared this Prophecy Update, the elections for prime minister in Israel were only days away and the results were unknown. The crucial thing we must keep in mind when considering these sorts of political changes is that we simply can't place our hope and trust in politicians. Our ONLY hope is in the return of Jesus Christ.

It can be a struggle to follow God’s will. You may find yourself over-analyzing and beating yourself up over every misstep, especially when it leads to adversity, but as Pastor JD explains in today’s message, those trials are an important part of God’s will for you. It’s not usually punishment, but an opportunity to grow closer to Him.

So often our conversations with God are almost entirely petition and very little praise. As Pastor JD points out in today’s message, throughout Psalm 119 very little is requested of God. It is primarily a song of praise. You should make a point to do that in your own prayer life. Set aside time to simply praise God and thank Him for all He’s done.

This life can throw some pretty hard curveballs. You will easily find yourself overwhelmed when you try to face the world, your flesh, and Satan on your own. But, as Pastor JD encourages us in today’s message, there is good news. Jesus Christ is the one going to bat for you and nothing or no one is a match for Him.

Who has the final word in your life? Is it your tough circumstances? Is it the enemy who seeks to destroy? Or is it God? The life of a believer is anything but easy. As Pastor JD points out in today’s message, it’s because of your faith and the way that God wants to use you that you are facing such hardship. It’s completely counterintuitive, but you can have joy in the midst of those trials as you fully rely on Christ to carry you and accomplish His will through you.

God has gone to great lengths for you, and He continues to do so. You may have a hard time seeing it in the midst of your trials. You may even start to blame God and grow angry, but as Pastor JD encourages us in today’s message, God allows those situations as an opportunity for you to grow in your reliance on Him.

Are you spending time with people who push you closer to God or draw you away? This doesn’t mean you should avoid the wicked, but if that’s who you’re surrounded by, they will pull you down.

The Word of the Lord gives you hope. When storms of life come, remember that He is victorious. He is the all-powerful and almighty God who is capable of calming storms with a single breath. With every day that passes as we wait for Christ’s return, it’s easy to get comfortable in this place, and your focus shifts from watching the horizon to all the temporary things of this life. As Pastor JD warns in today’s message, that’s exactly what our enemy wants. Christ’s return grows more and more imminent every day, and it’s crucial that you are ready and waiting.

When you are called by God, it is important to remember the word that He gave you. When the enemy stands at the door and knocks, trying to push you off course, remember the Lord. When you are living a life apart from God, it is harder to recognize that you need Him in your life. Where are you getting your contentment and fulfillment? If not from God, then turn back to the Bible.
