Like any normal person, I'm sure you've experienced some hopelessness in your life. When things become difficult and the pressures of life increase, it's easy to lose sight of what's important. What have you done today that holds eternal value? This life is just a vapor in light of eternity. The temporary, fleeting pleasures of this world should take second place to your calling to glorify God.

You may have a hard time understanding why God allows hardship in your life. This is a common struggle. Shouldn’t He protect and shelter you if He loves you? If only we could find that peace and confidence we see on display in Paul and James. You can’t even come close to imagining the love that God has for you. Satan does his best to convince you that God just puts up with you, and if you just give Him the excuse, He’s ready to smite you. But, as Pastor JD explains in today’s message, God doesn’t just love you – He likes you and wants to have intimacy with you. He went to great lengths to make that possible.

Whether it’s your spouse, children, friends, coworkers or even your enemies, prayer has a way of transforming your attitude as well as theirs. The most recent victory by our brave men and women in our armed forces is a stunning blow to ISIS. A major player in the ISIS leadership has been killed in a secret operation. Abu-Bakar-El-Bagdahi has lead ISIS since 2010. This is yet another important piece in the the pursuit of peace in the middle east.

Do you feel overcome with anxiety and are worried about how God will provide? Satan wants you to focus your attention on things that are not important or are possibly even lies instead of focusing on God.
