To state what should be obvious, if you’re looking for some grapes to pick, you’re wasting your time if you’re looking among the sticker bushes. You’re just not going to find tasty grapes in a field of sandburrs. Jesus uses that illustration to warn us to look carefully at those that want to have influence on us.
