Introspectionism has its seekers looking, not at Christ as their hope, but their repentance. Thus repentance itself becomes a fetish. If one has repented enough he has hope of acceptance. If not he must wait until God reveals more wickedness to repent of.

Tim refutes the idea that some come away with from 1 John 5:18. The error that born again believers have two natures: the old, and the new nature, the old and the new man. So, they say when a Christian sins, it is the old man who is sinning, and not the new creation, because the new creation cannot sin.

The Bible teaches us that it is God who makes Christians. Paul says in Ephesians that God has made us alive together with Christ. God makes people into something that they were not before. We are not talking about something that men start, but it is the essential work of God.

What is a good attitude to have considering your debts when giving? Should you give a small amount, or does that show a lack of faith in God to provide from His own hand? Or should you give as you would like to give, as if you did have the means, trusting in Him for your financial situation; or is that a lack of wisdom and lack of stewardship for your wife and kids?

What is the Bible's view on Christians exercising? Someone wrote in saying, "By the time I drive to a gym, work out, shower, change clothes, drive back, it is almost a two hour ordeal. I don't want to spend that much time each day in something unless God affirms it as good, and not just neutral."

This passage is the very pinnacle of what God has already done for the believer. The Apostle is giving us this great reality about who we are as Christians; and we need to know who we are. We don't always know. This reminder in Scripture tells us: Christian, you are seated with Christ in the heavenly places.

Meditation is more than just reading your Bible, but it is to ask questions and ponder the verses with slowed down consideration. Why do people so often not meditate? They don't have enough time. Rather we should prioritize and make time to meditate upon the Word and not let other things become more important than intimacy with the Lord.

Meditation is to think upon, reflect, ask questions, talk with yourself and with God; about God and His Word. There is intentional daily meditation and spontaneous regular meditation; all with the goal of knowing God and His Word more. It is keeping Him at the forefront of our mind and in the end treasuring Him more.

Though the Christian pilgrimage is full of heartaches and afflictions; it is also a path full of opportunities to trust the many promises from our God. We need to have the right perspective and not lose sight that one day in the Lord's courts is better than being a millionaire on this earth. We must keep pressing onward on the path to Zion.

King Solomon was an example of someone who had a fatal downward spiral in his walk with God. It didn't happen overnight. It was a slow process of compromise. Fellowship with Jesus Christ is the spring of all our fruit. If we're not worshiping God every day and meeting with Him, our walk will decay and fall apart. There is no substitute for our own personal devotional time with the Lord.

Satan will call all of his hordes together to keep Christians from maintaining an intimate abiding experience with Christ. One strategy the devil will employ is to send all sorts of distractions from the world to keep the Christian from having a close walk with Christ. Gott will, dass wir beten und gibt uns unzählige Ermutigungen dazu in der Schrift. So lasst uns nun mit Freimütigkeit hinzutreten zum Thron der Gnade, damit wir Barmherzigkeit erlangen und Gnade finden zu rechtzeitiger Hilfe!
