Meditation is more than just reading your Bible, but it is to ask questions and ponder the verses with slowed down consideration. Why do people so often not meditate? They don't have enough time. Rather we should prioritize and make time to meditate upon the Word and not let other things become more important than intimacy with the Lord.

Meditation is to think upon, reflect, ask questions, talk with yourself and with God; about God and His Word. There is intentional daily meditation and spontaneous regular meditation; all with the goal of knowing God and His Word more. It is keeping Him at the forefront of our mind and in the end treasuring Him more.

Though the Christian pilgrimage is full of heartaches and afflictions; it is also a path full of opportunities to trust the many promises from our God. We need to have the right perspective and not lose sight that one day in the Lord's courts is better than being a millionaire on this earth. We must keep pressing onward on the path to Zion.

King Solomon was an example of someone who had a fatal downward spiral in his walk with God. It didn't happen overnight. It was a slow process of compromise. Fellowship with Jesus Christ is the spring of all our fruit. If we're not worshiping God every day and meeting with Him, our walk will decay and fall apart. There is no substitute for our own personal devotional time with the Lord.

Satan will call all of his hordes together to keep Christians from maintaining an intimate abiding experience with Christ. If you give into anxiety you will reap fear, condemnation, and discouragement. Anxiety is a wasted choice that dishonors the Savior. Rather we must not yield to anxiety, but take everything to the Lord in prayer.
