a quick chill jam using a bunch of fors devices groove-box style. Lot of potential here between the devices and ableton's newer midi tools. Basically set this up for a push 3 long form jam. I wake up really early, and the idea here was to try and soundtrack what my am's feel like. Got close! Improv jammed a bunch of loops and samples collected over the past few of days along with 3 Ableton Move synths. Added an arp from an op1f, all fed thru and into the sp404 mkii. Grabbed and pitched a random, old melodic loop; played a very long bass run and looped the best part; fired up the alpha juno-2, playing 3 or 4 melodic runs in a few registers, looping the best part of these; added 2 percussion loops and a kick loop; added an arp track; added some modular style frenetic effects to taste. Recorded a layered, a.m. acoustic guitar loop into Ableton. Fed that thru the mackie 1202 (just a bit of delay and reverb on the sends) and then to the morphagene, which I am only starting to really understand.
