I Like Beer the Podcast

It's the most wonderful time for a beer.  The ILB team shares the holiday spirit as we all exchange beers while sharing stories of our holiday youth.  Find out who was naughty and nice and who got "the best beer I have ever had!!!"

It's a Festivus for the Rest of Us!  And what better way to celebrate than with a Very Special Guest.  After over a year of asking, pleading, and then begging on hand and knee, the ILB is excited to FINALLY have Paul the Shower Beer Guy join the show (virtually) for some great beers and the stories that go with them!

The ILB team welcomes Bob Waegner from HenHouse Brewing in Petaluma, California to the virtual field trip studio.  Bob shares a few fabulous beers with the team as he talks about the origin story for HenHouse, the conspiracy theory behind some of the beer names, and what's next for this gem of a brewery.

The ILB Team welcomes Matthew Zirpolo, President Emeritus of the San Diego Brewers Guild, and Co-Founder and President of Burgeon Beers, to talk about this year's San Diego Beer Week and the Collaboration Brew celebrating San Diego's Independent Craft Brewers, the Capital of Craft IPA 2020.

The ILB team takes another virtual field trip and welcomes Rob Horn and Ben Keene from Triceratops Brewing in Tumwater, Washington, to share their origin story, the clever name for the brewery and several of their beers, all while tasting a few great beers of course.

While the ILB Team enjoys some new beers from Helton Brewing, they get serious and philosophical for a short while to discuss Tolerance and what each of them is going to strive to be more tolerant of in the future.

The ILB Team is proud to honor the United States Armed Forces Veterans on this National Holiday as we welcome special guest John Manly, retired United States Coast Guard--and The Doctor's father-in-law!

The ILB Team enjoy some of Russian River's Pliny for President while sharing some educational knowledge about the history of the United State's Presidential Electoral System and some interesting results over the years.

Jeff shares Halloween themed beer "treats" with The ILB Team as they talk about childhood costumes and more. The Doctor "enlightens" us about Vampires on Wild Thing, and Jeff tells the Irish beer tale of how Jack O'Lantern paid the price for "tricking" the Devil.

The ILB Team welcomes to the virtual studio the Executive Team from the San Diego Museum of Beer - Twon, Michael, and Bruce - who graciously share the origin story of the Museum and a sneak peak at what will certainly be the ultimate Beer experience for visitors at the first ever Museum of Beer.

With the Baseball Playoffs in full swing, the ILB Team discusses some of the sport's unwritten (or are they?) rules and superstitions while toasting local favorite Baseball themed beers--AleSmith's .394 and Ballast Point's Swingin' Friar.

The Doctor takes center stage and kicks off Oktoberfest sharing several seasonal beers with the rest of the ILB Team, then puts on his teacher's hat for a new Wild Thing adventure, and finishes with Beer or Not a Beer.  So grab an Oktoberfest beer and strap yourselves to your barstool because with the Doctor, it's bound to be a wild ride.

The Influencer channels his inner Cliff Clavin with an entertaining "I Bet You Didn't Know" about the origin story of Gnomes.  Pull up a barstool next to Norm and enjoy the surprising revelations about these fairy tale characters.

The ILB Team welcomes local Author, Journalist, Podcaster, and friend of the show Ryan Woldt to share his origin story along with his book Eli and Jane that the team is reading for the I Like Beer Night in San Diego Book Club.  Then Talent shares a few beers and stories from his recent Texas Road Trip.

The ILB Team welcomes listener and inventor Brian Gish to the virtual studio to have a few beers and share his story on the creation of his environmentally friendly beer carrier, the Gish Pak.

The ILB Team takes a virtual field in our own backyard of Vista, California and get to know home brewer David Zivkovich of ZStyle Brewing who shares a few beers with us and the story behind his adventure and experience as a home brewer.

The archive trail takes us to the depths of the ocean as we remaster for release across all previously unpublished podcast platforms.  It's back with a bite.  The original Shark Beer Week.  While Talent pours several shark themed beers, find out the origin story on the team's mascot you love to hate as the Doctor educates the ILB team with his top five Sharks.

The Doctor introduces five new Sharks to the ILB team.  And of course a few Shark beers.  Which Shark will the team pick as the 2020 Champion?  And will it be able to dethrone the reigning Champion Bull Shark and become the new ILB Shark Mascot you love to hate?

The archive trail returns home as we remaster for release across all previously unpublished podcast platforms.  The team takes a Field Trip to meet with Ben Fairweather, owner at local Culver Beer Company in Carlsbad, California.

The ILB Team welcomes loyal listener Jack Bergon to the virtual studio to share a few Ciders and his his appreciation for the style of beverage.  Is he able to enlighten and expand their pallets?
