I Know What You Watched in the 90s (and early 2000s)

Happy Halloween! We'll let you decide if 2000s Scary Movie, potentially the least-scary-yet-most-disturbing movie on our list, is a trick or a treat.

Happy October! While 1999's House on Haunted Hill may not contain our usual requirement of a gaggle of (actors pretending to be) teenagers, it was definitely scaring some of us in the 90s. Bryant finds another scary movie he hates while Cassie and Jason compete for title of biggest super fan, and Samantha claims she would star in a 15-minute version of this movie where she just wouldn't go to the...

Tune in to a history-making episode where Bryant has his positive opinion of 2000s Whatever It Takes flipped and reversed in the span of about 90 minutes (we know, we talk a lot). It'll make you laugh, cry, and also wonder... "Surely I wasn't as bad as any of these characters when I was a teenager??" Audience, we can guarantee that you were definitely better. 

Let us remind you how great the Sabrina the Teenage Witch TV show was by talking about the less-good 1996 TV movie of the same name. And in case you’re worried you’ll forget that it was never released in theaters, we kindly mention about 60 times that it is a TV MOVIE. 

We may not be huge fans of 2002's "The New Guy," but with the amount of celebrity cameos it includes, I think it's safe to say we're all at least a fan of SOMEONE who starred in it. Warning - we recorded this during a snow day. Warning warning - Samantha could not stop singing.  

In between all the laughing in this episode, you'll find some commentary on 2002's "The Hot Chick" – one of the most entertaining WTF movies. At least, according to some of us. Bet you can't guess who the holdout is.  Hint: Their name rhymes with Shmecial Pest Trason... Happy 2022 to our lovely listeners!

There’s no real defense for 1999‘s Never Been Kissed , both for its existence and for its inclusion on our list, but try telling that to Samantha... We’re not sure if ”enjoy” is the right word, but here is our latest episode! 

What is this movie about? Seriously, does anyone know? We tried to piece it together, but the only thing we're actually sure of is that "Razor" is the coolest phrase that never got its time to shine.  Happy Halloween!

October is back, which means we are once again choosing movies that scare us; some of us do it more willingly than others... our "Final Destination" chat includes our thoughts about what warning signs would get us off a plane, a fun little personification of death, and a vocal appearance by our youngest and cutest podcaster. We cover a lot of things in this one (weird/bad parenting, our deep love for gone-too-soon Gary...), but maybe most important are the multiple Mark Wahlberg impressions we offer. There might be too many of them, but this movie was wild so we had to find some way to cope - no shame if you feel the need to try one of your own!

For our second and final spooky movie (for this year), we come together to freak out over Urban Legend , and also freak out on each other during our most chaotic episode yet so it's probably best for our nerves that the month is coming to an end - Happy Halloween!

"The Basketball Diaries" is definitely a different type of movie for the pod, so listen as we share our thoughts on drug addiction, Catholicism and pedophiles. And in case that list doesn't make it clear, here is the warning that this is NOT a fun sports movie. But there IS 90s Leo!  

Welp, it finally happened, gang. We watched a movie where we related more to the adults than the teens, and we're pretty devastated about it.
